Actually quite a few people will miss out for various reasons. I'm not so sure TF approached this in the best manner....crazy launch dates, pre-sales,
selling on specific dates only--all pretty crazy!

Agreed, it was just crazy all around.
I guess if I miss out I can always hunt for BD right, it is full size and matte

Hi all, I've been lurking this thread for a while and now I've decided to join
I've bought 3 lips and boys (giacomo, francesco and luciano), and hoping for 3 more (cary, didier, and julian)

But Julian is a very popular shade, it's not even available for pre-order

I'm not sure what to do about the boys I preordered from NM. They were all set to ship 1/5 and now two are backordered "indefinitely" which I do not understand. Chatting with NM wasn't helpful--they actually told me to check back in a month! Ha! 

What? Which two? I think they are still working on acquiring stock from the vendor. They shouldn't do pre-orders if they can't guarantee it.

Yep, Julian is the one I got an indefinite delay notice on from Neimans right off the bat. Yet TF.com CS claims they will have all shades available online on 12/26. For those of you willing to deal with the Signature Required delivery that might be the way to go, although TF.com has been known to let you know something is on BO after the fact too. I'm just not going to be bothered with the signature thing. On Black Friday I did order from TF.com and put up with the Signature Required but enough time has passed that I've kind of moved on......

I wrote them a nasty email to either refund my money or ship the order. Next step is to dispute the charge which sometimes is a pain in the butt. Avoid ordering from the TF site. Besides the signature required they will take your money even if they do not have product to ship.

I have the same problem :-(

They sent the package and inside one of the shades were missing!

Even at the shipping notice, they didn't warn me.

But I am so baffled how this color can go from looking so deep and rich to looking light and sheer. Are there two separate batches of Pavlos going around or something? Seriously! I mean, it isn't that it looks more red in one pic and more brown in another. That I can deal with. The intensity and opaque-ness of it changes so much which is frustrating.

At the last minute I remembered to call my local Tom Ford Boutique. They are indeed taking pre-orders. For whatever reason though, I'm not comfortable giving my info over the phone so I told them I might come by tomorrow. BUT then something dawned on me and I decided to call back. They confirmed my suspicion that they do NOT take returns on cosmetics. So, with Pavlos being as inconsistent as it is and me not knowing whether I can work with it or not, looks like it is back to Neiman's where I know they accept returns.

I don't think they knew or were prepared to deal with this undertaking. So incredibly messy. Don't wait too long to dispute the charge. Most banks have a cut off period
of 15 days of the purchase as the timeframe in which you have to dispute a charge.
