Our exchange rate is six and a half times the US dollar so I can't imagine committing to a LV or a gorgeous Chanel flap! I visited the LV store in Paris in summer 2013 and was like OMG, these prices are obscene looooll. I have to apply an exchange rate for the US dollar too (2 to 1) so I was like, NEXT! I will get one some day though because they are gorgeous and a good investment. We have an LV store here where you can get stuff duty free so that's most likely where I would make my purchase.
Not sure what prices look like now, but a few years back, but even with the conversion, it was actually less expensive to purchase an LV item in Paris than in Italy or the US. I bought both a bag and wallet at the Paris flagship store.

I, like many of you, didn't want to use either one out in public for fear of it being snatched, so I never used them and eventually ended up selling them. At some point, I may pick up one that will suit my needs best, but that's a ways away, if ever.

Yup. I know exactly what you mean 'cause I could very well buy it, but I can't lol. I bought a Coach bag last January from one of their outlets and it was such a ridiculous clearance pice, I had to have it. I have work it to work almost everyday over the last 10 months and it still looks brand new. My only qualm about it is it doesn't have a zip top and with the amount of stuff I have in my bag, I really don't need everyone to see my ish lol. I know what you mean about the "it" bags. I really like the Michael Kors ones but now everybody and their mama has one.... *sigh* I'll just hold on to the one I do have and call it a day.
All of this bag talk caused me to browse bags last night and I got a cross body bag that was $345 for $172.00.
I don't even need another handbag but I convinced myself that I won't need to carry my white Fendi if I got this
new white cross body bag, and this little voice said your big ole bags are ruining your shoulders, blah blah,
blah, plus 6% cash back w/Ebates...I was toast!!!

I hear you about Coach bags Shars. I have two Coach brief cases that will for sure outlast me!!!!

I love a good deal!! As your hubs says, if you use it at least once and it made you happy, that's all that matters! Lol @ that darn Ebates. I keep telling myself it's a sale on top of a sale lol. I love going to the outlets though. That Coach outlet was doing something crazy like 50% off storewide and an extra 60% off clearance. I couldn't resist. It's a miracle I only bought the one lol. It was money well spent though - that bag is a trooper.

They're a good deal for two mini pencils which in reality are not that mini. Their Christmas set included 5 for $49 and the set is stated to be worth $96.00. So if we go by that figure, the birthday gift will be worth just under $39.00. They are also two of NARS' best selling shades!

Hiya. The Sephora Pro Airbrush concealer brush #57 is recommended by many for blending out under-eye concealer. I have a similar shaped brush from another brand that I like but I tend to prefer using my ring finger for blending out under-eye concealer. The brush you bought is good but it'll be better for liquid foundation. I've heard some people say they prefer the #56 for the job though. Christine from Temptalia.com highly rates the Pro Precision Blush Brush #73. She says it's one of her faves. I'm yet to try it even though it's been sitting in my cart for ages. lol Hope you're able to find one that works for you.

I've heard too that prices in Paris used to be better but that flagship store on Champs-Elysees is no joke. I must say though, they are probably still good prices given the share amount of people I passed in the street with an LV shopping bag! If I did buy one, it wouldn't be one of the branded ones with the logo splashed all over. That to me screams steal me lol.

I think hubs has eaten those words many times over because I regurgitate them to him when packages roll in.
You got an AMAZING deal!!! If I catch a sale and Ebates covers my state taxes and I get free shipping, I'm pretty happy!

Haha poor Hubs!
I agree. Once it's a good rate and shipping is free, I'm game!

Bag talk! Like [@]Medgal07[/@], I'm on a handbag moratorium. I've got a bunch of Coach bags and Dooneys. Love a Dooney, especially the key thing they have inside. I have a Furla I got from Dakar, and some random one-of-a-kind bags from some leathersmiths in Florence. I love the smell of leather. Yummy.

Ooooh! What are the Dooney's like? Is the material strong? I keep seeing them and liking them.

I think they are quite strong. I have bags in a variety of sizes from 07-08. I haven't bought one recently. I'm hard on my bags, and they still look fairly new. I'm not into bags where the logos are prominent, so they fit my taste completely.

I have two. They are about 15 years old but they are like brand new and are in perfect condition.. It's a strong and solid handbag. I highly recommend it.

Meddy failed-----ordered a bag last night after too much bag talk. Just a little SJP cross body bag that I don't need!!!

Very strong---I had one and gave it to my daughter--it was too small for all of my crap that I like to tote around

I made an order last night pretty much solely to get the nars birthday gift, haha (my birthday was Dec 12). I grabbed the Dior Creme de Rose lipbalm, which I was probably gonna pick up anyway, so I may as well get something extra with it! Has anyone tried the lipbalm before?

It's so twisted to not be able to wear or use our nice things out.

I'm hoping Vevers/Coach can bring out something for me next year. I think for ss15 they're doing mostly structured again, though. And I saw some neon stuff, too. I'm kinda liking some other brands' leather bucket bags and convertible backpacks but I'm used to top zips, so I'm taking my time, looking around.

Ok thank you. This was my first brush purchase with sephora so I didn't know any better. Are they any brushes you suggest ? I'm still on the hunt for the perfect blending brush already have mac 217. Also need perfect under eye concealer brush.
No, I'm not saying it's a bad purchase! I just personally don't love it.
When I worked in store, they told us to sell that brush to newbies mostly, because it's a multi tasking brush. So u can use it for foundation, and then ur powders.
I just personally don't love it, because I use multiple brushes. If I had to get a few from Sephora, I would get contour brush #74, foundation brush #56, concealer brush #57 (good for liquid contour blending too, I love it), and the multi tasker brush #45 for powder foundation. For blush I use a sigma brush, didn't love the sephora brushes. Those are my recommendations :)
Now if u don't care if they are sephora or not, for a blending brush I like the real techniques brush, the first three brushes in the starter set http://realtechniques.com/shop-collection/starter-set amazing!

Also, a little (I know a lot lol) more expensive ones, I love the marc jacob brushes :)
