So helpful --thank you! I haven't seen this yet in person but I am guessing that many different skin tones could wear this.Running out the door but wanted to post these swatches really fast. There was sun this morning!
So. Dore is so light!! I'm curious whether others have the same experience. Even built up with my finger, it's a light pink. I wasn't expecting that. Below are swatches in sunlight and indoors (natural light/shade). Where it says light, I used the same brush I use with my perles (MUFE #128). Gives a very subtle finish. Where it says heavy, I rubbed my finger all around the compact and swiped many times on my arm. With a dense brush, I imagine you could build this up on your cheeks to use as a light pink blush. But it's not shimmery at all and since it's not very dark I totally think this is suitable as a finishing powder. HTH!
Ella thanks so much fro taking the time to do this. I intend to use mine as an overall finishing powder.Running out the door but wanted to post these swatches really fast. There was sun this morning!

No problem ladies! Meddy this should work beautifully as a finishing powder on you And patent I do think this is subtle enough that it could be worn by various skin tones. Are you thinking of getting it?Ella thanks so much fro taking the time to do this. I intend to use mine as an overall finishing powder.
Well after we saw this swatch http://instagram.com/p/xMjLdgQvww/?modal=true of the Medium compact which appeared very glowy - more like a highlighter - it wasn't clear what the best use of these compacts would be.which it should be
Always, EllaS, I've had all three in my cart but I need to see it in person first really. So I'm trying to be patient. No problem ladies! I totally understand. It's so hard to choose without swatching them yourself. The nice thing about these compacts is that they go on rather sheer, so unless you're really trying to build it up, I doubt Dore would be too much. Hopefully some of the other fair ladies on Specktra will get Dore and give you some additional feedback to help you decide Let us know if you pull the trigger on any of them!Always, EllaS, I've had all three in my cart but I need to see it in person first really. I have fair skin, but I really like the effect of the medium tones of Chanel's Les Beiges. So I'm hoping that the Guerlain Dore powder will give me a warmed up, glowy finish. Who knows--it could work? So I love your post--so helpful! Thank you!!
I understand. But I use Meteorites perles as a finishing powder that gives me nice healthy glow. Some might say for them it's only hhighlighter and they can't use it all over because it's too shimmery. For me it's way to subtle to be hhighlighter And isolating certain parts of it would be way too much work for me to use it as a blush bronzer etc... they do come with different colors inside because each color has it's role - to neutralize redness, dullness, uneven skintone etc...Well after we saw this swatch http://instagram.com/p/xMjLdgQvww/?modal=true of the Medium compact which appeared very glowy - more like a highlighter - it wasn't clear what the best use of these compacts would be.
Personally I think these mosaics have more uses than simply as a finishing powder. I like to take a small dense brush, isolate which colors I pick up and apply them as a highlighter/blush/bronzer. FWIW I did this with the coral segments of Dore and was able to build up a nice natural luminous flush on my cheeks.
Agh, I went to a great mall today & no one had these to see! Bummed
