Damn, the L&B collection went online at the Kadewe shop and almost everything sold out in seconds! Since I'm so not amused about the size I thought I wouldn't order anything, but I still was too intrigued by some of the colors, so I got Jack and Peter. I'd have bought Xavier and Stavros as well, but they were gone already.

Maybe it's for the better, Xavier is not that unique and I'm pretty sure I'd have worn Stavros once and then never again (I'm already a bit tired of the grey D&G I bought - it just looks too weird).

But, you know how it is, if one is ordering anyway, why not get something else? The matte lipsticks in Black Dahlia and Flame were still available, so I finally decided that I need them. Did I ever think I have a spine?

ETA: I wasn't even sure why I had Jack on my list and now just had to take a look at Temptalia's lip swatches. Hmm. It's apparently a cooler version of Pablo, and I love those typical couture pinks, so maybe that was the reason?

I'm sure I'll love them more than the tiny little nothings from the L&B collection - I prefer man-size!

Flame went straight on my list when I saw Ruth Crilly wearing it in one of her videos.

I have it and I absolutely LOVE it!!!! I wear it with Chanel Foudroyante lipstick & Audace lip gloss---a trifecta of gorgeousness IMHO!!!

Hearing that and revisiting the swatch flipped it for me. I finally caved and ordered it. I have swatched it in the store I don't know how many times. And I have so many that are close. I know I will love it.

Well I finally stopped by Nordstrom on Sunday to pick up Julian and went to the tiny TF counter there to swatch some more of the boys. I LOVED Stavros! It is so pretty and unique. It has this really lovely purple/mauve sparkle. Fortunately I had an anti-enabling friend with me because I know I would only ever wear it around my house. Although if Nordstrom has another online restock or they ever make it full size I will probably have a f*ck it moment and get it. Alejandro was also really nice but I convinced myself I had enough reds and passed on that as well. And then of course tonight I decided to get myself an early birthday present since Saks still has the fancy boxes in stock online and picked up Didier, a BU of Jack, and Leonardo (so much for too many reds). Here are some arm swatches in terrible store lighting.



That unlabeled swatch under Cary is the perm lippie Casablanca. I know some of the repromoted lipsticks have turned out not be be exact dupes but I would say Cary and Casablanca are pretty much identical. They look a little different because of the lighting/angle of my arm but that wasn't the case in store.

I hope to compare Julian and Nars Anna tomorrow so fingers crossed the sun comes out.

I'm feeling like a bitter bitch right now, lol. Just spoke to TF customer service. Julian will not be restocked after all. I'm disappointed that I won't get to try it now. If anyone has any great dupes for Julian, I'd appreciate it.

Here is a swatch comparison of Julian and Anna. Anna is definitely darker but has mauve tones as well. I really hope they release a full size Julian, I have a feeling I'll be scraping this out of the bottom of the tube at some point. I'll try to do a lip swatch this weekend.



And I am seriously considering calling up the Neiman's and Nordstrom near me to see if I can find a Stavros. I can't stop thinking about him!

No problem! I didn't really look that closely at John, it was one of the ones the SA was just like "HERE TRY THIS" and swatched it on my arm herself (she wasn't super pushy or anything, just uh excitable) but I wasn't looking to pick up any pinks. I will say it did seem more shimmery than than the other lipsticks, almost frosty. Still smooth texture though and not like chunks of glitter or anything. And I know T described it as a fuchsia pink but on me it just looked straight pink. Not crazy bright or neon though. It was pretty.

Did you try Stavro on your lips? I'm wondering how that shade looks on.

It looked good on Sara Beautime on ColourMeLoud. It's not the most flattering on me, but it doesn't actually look gray and is more wearable than I expected though it's 'get out the blush.'

Meanwhile, I began following Ella's advice and got Tomas and am probably going to get Omar. Also thinking about getting Jack.

I also went by the GA counter and played with the eye tints. I tried Flannel and Cold Copper which barely showed up on my eyelids. But I was using a Qtip to get the color off the wand while the SA watched-- so that could have been the reason. I also tried Jade which was a lot more vibrant. I did a kind of gradient with Jade and Onyx, but the Jade was so vibrant, you couldn't really see the Onyx. Will go by again in a few days to look at Onyx on its own.
