Nice one too sis---very daytime friendly, but not boring. Yup---like dog-years to MU addicts!I was able to snag a First Time ls
Ms Winthrop told me I needed it if I could find itSo I called a store & she said, I cannot believe you're asking for that lipstick because someone had it on hold for a long time & the SA was just going to put it back into stock...so YIPPEEBummer it won't be here until Wed. .....that's so far away lol
I have similar coloring and I love Orchid Haze for a more natural look. Silvered Topaz is great for doing a daytime smokey eye, I wear that one to work a lot. It's been a while since I tried out Cocoa Mirage but I think I passed because it was a bit too warm for me, and not really special enough to warrant the price-tag IMO.So a nordstrom will be opening up in vancouver this september. Which is awesome Anyways, I'm using this as an excuse to go shopping in van then. One of the brands I'll be rechecking out is tom ford. I originally was disappointed by the brand, but when I did swatches at a second store, I realized the other store had just not taken care of their product samples. Anyways, quad wise, what neutral quad would look best on a light skinned woman with very visible pink undertones. The cocoa mirage one looks nice for a basic, and everyone talks about cognac sable but I dunno if that one would suit me. Blush wise, would frantic pink work well for me?

Frantic Pink is a beautiful blush, it would definitely suit you. Wicked would too and Love Lust seems to look great on everyone. I'm not sure if Narcissist is still around by that's probably my favourite.
I bought two a bit ago at a CCO and they are a bit of a off scent about them. Now that you mention it, I do have a Casablanca that is maybe two years old and has already started to smell like bad Play Dough. That's only one person and one lipstick, but given that I was hoping to hand it down to a friend (and given its princely sum), going rancid that fast is not okay.
I would say bd because its le but spring is coming too and pussycat is stunning o lord don't pay me any attention I can't decide they all are beautifulPussycat, Black Dahlia or Velvet Cherry?
o nooooo that's quick I will have to check my Tf lippiesI bought two a bit ago at a CCO and they are a bit of a off scent about them. Definitely not as sweet smelling as before. But the finish and formula is still lovely..so an off scent I can handle, as long as it doesn't mess with the formula.
I always sanatize my lipsticks every 3 to 4 months. That has helped keep them in good shape. Now that you mention it, I do have a Casablanca that is maybe two years old and has already started to smell like bad Play Dough. That's an excellent idea, but Madame Casablanca had already been moved to my "retired" pile and largely forgotten about. Plus, that's the only lipstick I can think of that I own that has ever gone off so fast.I always sanatize my lipsticks every 3 to 4 months. That has helped keep them in good shape.
But doesn't the off smell technically mean it's spoiled? I have no idea what kind of microbial overgrowth it might mean, if anything. Maybe it means nothing.I bought two a bit ago at a CCO and they are a bit of a off scent about them. Definitely not as sweet smelling as before. I don't use them once they start to have a weird smell. After that happened once or twice, I researched it and found that sanatizing them regularly should help prevent that- or at least prolong it.But doesn't the off smell technically mean it's spoiled? They still smell ok, just off to me. Because they were strongly scented at purchase and now it has faded some.o nooooo that's quick I will have to check my Tf lippies
Well no, because they are sweet smelling still, just not as sweet as before. If you are smelling playdoh or crayons, then I'd be worried :sigh:But doesn't the off smell technically mean it's spoiled? I just recently had Blue Nude and Casablanca go off. It was hard to toss them and I have much older lipsticks from Chanel, Armani, Dior etc. never do this. I have quite the collection of TF lippies and I fear this does not bode well. Ironically, Black Orchid which was my first, is still fine. I also only use a lip brush when applying these and it is always cleaned after each use.Has anyone had any of their lipsticks go bad or smell off ? I've heard from a few people for whatever reason tom ford lipstick go rancid more quickly hence my hesitancy to invest in these pretties. Opinions anyone ?
When I use the term "off" for a lipstick it means that it smells rancid. If you have ever smelled cooling oil that has done that, it is very recognizable! That is exactly what they smelled like.Hmmm I guess there isn't a standard for what "off" for a lipstick means - if it's just a fading fragrance that's ok , but actually spoiling/decomposing ugh that's gross. I wish there was a standard.
There is something about Velvet Cherry that makes me swoon....Pussycat, Black Dahlia or Velvet Cherry?
