My order got canceled by Nordies but they're still sending me my free samples in a 0 dollar order. Almost like they're saying '''Hey girl, I fucked up but still love you''

Oh, I just smelled mine...Its a mix of slight plastic & vanilla. It's not terrible & I can still smell the Vanilla mostly. I think it has something to do with the color. Most of the N collection in those shades had the same smell. And, some new glosses around those shades have the same smell.

Plastic and vanilla is a great way to describe it! That's how all of mine smell.

They definitely smell differently than my other vanilla lippies. Even the ones from the matte collection still had a pretty clear vanilla smell - those were the last ones I bought.

So I finally picked up my package at the leasing office today and to my surprise my Oxblood lipstick was not in my box hboy:   All my lip pencils arrived from the pencilled in collection and it even shows Oxblood on my order forum. I called Customer Service and after being on hold for 5 minutes she tells me that theres nothing that they can do about it since the lipstick is sold out and that they would issue me a credit. And then she goes on to say that the collection would be in stores tomorrow. So I basically went through all that trouble to order Oxblood for no reason.:sigh: I'm really upset and I've never had an issue ordering from Mac but this has just turned me off completely. :fuse:

I feel so bad for you. Maybe you can find one in a store.

For someone who is new to all this, how crazy are the in-store launches? A wait-in-line early type deal or a just get there on the first day type deal?

Like someone else mentioned it really depends on the collection and the location. Counters are usually worst because judging from experience they usually have less stock. If you get there before the store opens you'll definitely see a group of women there because everyone's going crazy over Oxblood and Ripe Peach. When the doors open people don't usually care for who was there first they all just rush in. I think that as long as you're there when the store opens you're good, if you wait you might miss out on the popular items.

Most likely because I can still smell the vanilla in my lipsticks... but I can detect the plastic smell too.

Everyone looks so beautiful in their new lippies! Thanks for all the awesome swatches ladies. I just recieved my Victoriana lippie today and I am in love with the packaging and the lipstick itself. It's such a great shade. Now I just need to recieve the matching gloss I ordered when I picked up a few of the new lip pencils. I'm excited for the store release tmrw so I can pick up Sin lipstick and swatch a few other things. I hope it's not to crazy. I'll be up bright and early!

So.... I received my box. Just Petrol Blue liner no lipsticks!!! I called they are sending a new Barbecue but Oxblood is SO so just a refund. Im livid!!:shock::rants:
