I got to my local MAC late. Meant to be there by 9:30, but didn't get there until 9:40. No one was waiting, which surprised me. A little bit later another woman joined me, we'd seen each other a few times waiting for collections, so we had a nice chat; she, too, was surprised no one else was there. Then a third woman showed up. We were our own little slice of the variety that is America, 3 different ethnic groups, 3 very different skin tones. The door opened at ten and we went in. I handed my list to a MUA then went to test the products.

Didn't bother with the glosses and only tested Sin lipstick - maybe i'll order it. My HG red is Deeply Adored which is fairly dark, and bright reds, as in this collection, just wash me out and make the rest of my face disappear.

Each of the blushes was in a rather different condition from the others:
-- KR was nice and soft and pigmented - the pale beige-y top color will work well with my skin tone and the redder part can be applied lightly for pinker or more intensely for redder.
-- RP - the yellower top part was soft and powdery, while the orange-er bottom was less giving.
-- AB was stiff and not forthcoming all over; i'd checked mine at home and it had a lot of violet, so i didn't need another anyway.
I think partly there is some sort of "film" on them, which i think it will come off with use; also people swiping with their fingers doesn't help (i was guilty of this myself, and felt bad as i was doing it). I could see that people had been testing them on Wednesday, and the MUAs had scratched off part of the stiff part on some of them.
So, yes, i got Ripe Peach and i got Kindergarten Red. I like ombré blushes because i can use them as 3 or 4 colors and gradate my cheeks!

I got Clorafill liner, Clorafill mascara, and Tarot mascara. And i picked up 3 lip pencils from the Pencilled In Collection - Cyber World, Nightingale, and Heroine - i'll probably order Edge to Edge later because it looks very versatile as a pink nude.

By the time i checked out - which took a while as their computerized registers were down - there were a few more people in the shop, but not a mob. And it seems they got more twice as much stock as usual (often they have just 1 tester & 3 to sell).

Tenor voice....One of my favorites!!One thing though I think sometimes people hip up a product so much and everyone falls in the trap.My favorite lip products from this collection are barbecue,tenor voice,and maybe oxford but with the lipglass...You have to go to the store and try these on to really see how it looks on you.Everyone was raving about victoriana,and opera honestly they were ok.And the funny thing is they look almost identical on the lips

I just got back from Macy's...I swatched all the lipsticks and considered getting one of the reds but they all just looked the same on my skin and I b2m for Relentlessly Red a few months ago and barely wear it - the guy at mac told me it was a more matte version of Victoriana (the only red I was really eyeing) so I skipped. But I did get Sin and Oxblood for my cousin. I wanted the Violentwink eyeshadow palette, but StarsN Rockets was the only standout one for me - I'll just get it in pan for my new z palette lol. Money saved! I think I am officially done with buying from this collection lol.
I'm debating whether to get the Violetwink now that I love the Bellgreens. But I also only kinda want it for Stars and Rockets. I didn't even bother testing it in the store.

You look beautiful but I'm more jealous that you look super warm and comfortable and I'm currently at home with the heat on HELL looking like this

I don't think any of these are must haves. I just went crazy for the packaging. I only buy most permanent MAC lipstick is LE packaging because I find the regular packaging too boring. That mindset saves me money in the long run as well since I'm not dying to get a color that is always there. I hated the Oxblood lipstick. I think it looks bad as an NW45 myself. I'm not even trying to get it even to wear with dark lip liner. The consistency was smooth but kind of thick. Also if you're afraid of the lipstick get the lipglass. I bought it and I find it to be much more wearable. It is slightly less peachy pink and very pretty. Edit: You most likely can make the lipstick work. I'm just being negative because I'm not willing to put in the effort But I think the lipglass is way better for darker skin. I actually want to back it up but I don't go through lippies like that so idk I'm debating whether to get the Violetwink now that I love the Bellgreens. Oxblood gloss -

Adorable sweet & sexy pale rose peachy nude. LOVE it on. I just ordered another.

Kindergarten Red blush - LOVE LOVE it on. Its a soft pale strawberry peaches & cream healthy flush skin shade. Mine is very pigmented & soft. I used the darker red part on the apples of my cheeks blended back & then used the top lightest shade to highlight high on the cheekbone.The oxblood gloss with this blush is a very pretty healthy look combo.

Sorry for my very very dry hands.
