oh that's perfect!

Ok, I need your opinion ladies.. I'm thinking of taking my Mom to Nordies for their spring trend show in March. I had a guy from Laura Mercier do my makeup one random evening and fell in love with the neutral but pretty look he gave me. So I thought I'd have her makeup done by him. Then I thought about Bobbi Brown or even Nars. I'm keeping her away from MAC for now, unless my fave Male makeup artist is there. But who would you pick to do your 50 something, with great skin, Mother's makeup. She says she wants to start wearing it, so I thought this would be a good start. Oh and if you have a different fave brand, let me know.

Are there any NC 50's that use MJ contour palette? I'm tempted to try it out.
Temptalia did a review on the deepest shade range in Hi Fi filter. She isn't a NC50, but maybe her swatches can help you gage a little better :) http://www.temptalia.com/marc-jacobs-beauty-hi-fi-filter-instamarc-light-filtering-contour-powder-review-photos-swatches It would be nice if companies offered a wider shade range :/

Don't make age a factor. Good makeup is good makeup. Take her to the counter you think does the best work and has the best product.

TF Narcissist was limited edition and I think the Dolce is too, so if you want it---don't sleep on it. You snooze you lose, Pretty.

I'm in need of a moisturizer. I currently use Fresh lotus moisturizer. I'm thinking about switching to shiseido. I'm looking at the ibuki refining moisturizer & the white Lucent brightening moisturizer. Anyone use either of the two? Or have a recommendation?
I use the Ibuki refining and really like it.

I love the CoverFX Contour Palette. The creams are very creamy and blend so easily. The only problem was that I had to get the deepest palette since I am a NC45 and the N Medium palette the contour shade pretty much matched my skin tone.

Oh lawd, I was catching up on my blog reading and saw the Beauty Look Book's post about the MJ New Nudes gel lipsticks. WANT THEM ALL! I have to order my Clinique Moisture Surge tomorrow, so I think a few of those treats may slip into my cart

I love the sigma e25 which I think is the 217 copycat brush. Use their f80 daily for foundation and their small stipple to buff out blush and contour. I like real techniques too, especially their setting brush and blush brush (which is big and I use it to bronze instead of blush). I didn't love their buffer foundstion brush but every thing else that I've tried has been great.

Thanks to the ladies who gave me feedback on benefit gimme brow.. It took a few days to get the hang of but now I love it, it has made doing my brows so much quicker!! I only need to use my brow wiz on the tail to darken up and a tiny bit at the front to shape up more. Love!
