I wasn't interested because it's a lustre but it looks nice. I find Free as a Butterfly from the Cinderella collection milky on me. It's paler than this one.

I'm still waiting for the beauty powder, but got BK in the mail today. I was hoping it would be a pink on me. It is straight up neon orange! So weird. It must be because I am so pale? I'm not sure I'll be able to wear this at all - it looks really crazy on me. I do love the formula - awesomely smooth feel.

My Romantic Breakdown just arrived. Like most pale nudes, I need a lipliner to make them work or I find that my mouth lacks any definition. On its own, meh.Too milky for me. Paired with Spice liner, much better. Layered over Chicory liner (over full lips) - awesome.
Great layering shade, but not a colour I'd wear on its own. Not a replacement for French Kiss (although I wear that with Spice as well).

Thanks hun! I hope you love it on! It turns my very pigmented lips such a lovely shade. You're right, it's everyday wearable. I'm going to try some liners under it to see what happens.

I think its more pigmented than macs usual lustres but the color wasn't so flattering on me at all. I ordered Royal Ball from Cinderella and I'm thinking its going to be the same problem but at least with Cinderella i like collecting certain mac collections and that was one of them so I won't be as upset because I would just depot the lipstick and put in a different mac color that i have in reg packaging.

thank goodness we know how to switch out lipsticks because lord knows how many special packaging bullets that doesn't have the original color it came with hahahaHmm...this is probably how it will look on me. Did you try just a couple of light swipes & then let it warm up to your own lip shade? Sometimes too much of the ls on in these shades doesn't work. I'm not saying you used too much

If Free as a Butterfly is milkier than Romantic Breakdown, my daughter won't like it at all. I'll compare them (without swatching) before I put it aside for her. I don't want to try a highly coveted shade only to send it back when I could sell it at cost to someone else.

gorgeous!! you always have some of the best swatch pics @elegant-one!! i am still sad that i missed out on BK......I do really like my RB thoughSummer Opal - a beautiful pale beige baby rose gold with beautiful golden shimmer which is not glittery or over the top. On my skin, its a beautiful soft pale slight rose glow.
BK - It looks more pink/red on my arm, but on my pigmented lips is definitely a pinked coral with red undertones. Its actually quite beautiful on. I think it looks better & less bright if you do the dab & smoosh.
Romantic Breakdown - is such a very pretty pale dainty beige rose. I love the subtle nude/rose/pale dusty pink shade it gives my lips.
The texture is soft creamy & smooth for all products. I'm quite happy with all of it.
Really cloudy dark here today so the pics....

Hmmmm, I am extremely pale too & it definitely isn't orange on me. Try a bit on your lower lip & then smoosh your lips together to see if that makes it more wearable to you.

Got my Spice, BK, LJ and FS this morning! Threw on my BK before I left today and I love it! Can't wait to play with the rest when I get home.

I didn't think FAB is milkier. Its quite sheer barely-there shade but still pretty. They aren't close imho.

thank you but my sister told me i looked a hot mess lmao she said it actually looks decent in the pic compared to the mess it looks in person. bleh! lmao I think it doesn't help that the color of my natural lips are like a dark purplish brown. I don't know if you remember the lipstick Tropical Mist from the Carine Roitfeld collection but that lipstick had a milky look to it but what it did was just mute out my lips.
