I missed the brush hoopla yesterday, but I was still able to access the brush pages to check the availability in my area. I did a search for within 100 miles, and the 217 showed no availability but the 168 did at one counter, the largest one near me.

Called this afternoon and the MUA (one I have shopped with before; nice lady) said that they had indeed gotten the blue handled brushes on release day but only a couple and they were sold immediately. The other counters in this area I know for a fact never got them. I'm not sure what to think. If they had actually turned up in any stores, wouldn't at least a few of them have turned up on eBay before yesterday? Weird.

If they are real and this isn't just a Macy's goof, crossing my fingers with everyone else for a restock. I really wanted those!

That's what she said. I thought maybe she was confused (and the Macy's site was wrong about them having stock), but she was positive that they had indeed had them and were sold out shortly after they opened on Thursday. She is generally very knowledgeable and has helped me a lot in the past, so I have no reason to doubt her, but it is just so very odd to me.

Yeah and I haven't seen one picture on social anywhere! Fingers crossed they were real though

Ooo,'you're order of the blue brushes actually shipped? Finally someone whose order wasn't cancelled! I can't wait to see pictures that are non-stock photos!!
