Freaking AMAZING. It's so beautiful on you, allthingsglam!
pretty ladies
Glammy! Holyyyyy crap you look so stunning in BK! :thud: :hot: Thanks lovely! :bigheart: Thanks babes! Mufe #92 my holy grail purple shadow ♡ Thank you beautiful!
Omggggggg! Sooooo sexy! Love it on you!! Git it girrrrllll!:nanas:
If you're like me and missed out on Blue Kashmir (sniff! sob!) you might look at Sally Hansen Blue my mind. I think other people have mentioned this color. I saw in a local CVS yesterday, so it's definitely around. Pardon my sloppy work, I just put in on quickly last night right over some clear np I was already wearing. The color is really pretty and the formula is good (2 coats here). Hope this helps! :) Now if I could find a dupe for Romantic Breakdown I would be all set!! :)
BK is amazing on you, so gorgeous!  I am wearing it with More to Love Liner today (just on the lip line) and it seems to help bring out the pink- it is no where near as pink on me as @allthingsglam , but it is still is nice. I feel liners will make a big difference- I tried it with Dynamo and it is an exact match, but More to Love brought more pink out. I'm going to keep experimenting.
Gorgeous Glammy. I hope BK will look the same on me. Love it.
Thanks so much ladies I'm blushing blushing

Thanks for these awesome comparisons! LJ is stunning on you :eyelove: , and you have beautiful eyes! I worked with a girl who had amazing green eyes and she said the same thing as you about brown eyes going with make-up better, which surprised me.
Aw thanks :D yeah brown is like the little black dress of eye colors, it just always looks good. Black is even better! Blue and green eyes CAN look great, it's just that they're pickier. I met a lady the other day with brown eyes so dark they were almost black and they had a thick periwinkle line around the iris. And she wasn't wearing contacts! SO beautiful! I want her genes!

I see what you mean, brown eyes can go with a lot of make-up looks without clashing.

The black/periwinkle combo sounds amazing!

There are so many beautiful eyes out there!

I love this blogger's eyes:

Omg! I had to click on a couple links before I saw a pic with her eyes, she's SO lucky! They're practically glowing! I forget that so many colors are possible... There aren't just three. A girl I went to high school with has one and a quarter brown eyes and three quarters of a blue eye, kind of like David Bowie. It looks awesome but I bet that's even harder to match! Actually my horse has one brown eye and one blue eye so I take pictures of him from different sides for different looks. His mane falls on the brown eye side so its like that's the soft romantic side and the blue eye side is like his daring fashion side lol

Yes, I have seen eyes with mixed colours too, pretty amazing.

Your horse sounds like a beautiful creature with lovely eyes.

Do you recommend blue-based purples for brown eyes? I never seem to be able to pull off the red-based purple shades that well, just the blue ones.
If your eyes are more of a golden-brown, then blue-based purples will enhance them beautifully, since blue and orange (gold) are opposite each other.

The blue- vs. red-based purple distinction is often not made when makeup tips are provided. I've naturally gravitated towards blue-purples, and now it makes sense when taking the color wheel into consideration.

My brown eyed cousins look AMAZING in blue. Actually in green too. Like deep emerald green. But especially blue.

Yup! I wear any and every colour, but when i throw on the burgundies and wines and reds, my eyes are all BAM! A lot of people don't wear em cuz they look stoned or sickly, but i LAAAAHHHHVE them!
Most advice for green eyes I've seen seems to assume light to medium colored, clear toned green eyes, but I have muted, dark green eyes (the kind where you have to look closely or in sunlight to really notice it) so I think 90% of the time the tones end up clashing. Would you recommend the same burglaries & wines for me? I'd love for my eyes to actually 'pop' green!

I love David Bowie. My favorite yt girl is grav3yard girl bunny and OMG she has THE most amazing blue eyes. Sometimes I just have to pause the video to just stare at them. And she is so funny and not pretentious. Just the right amount of crazy! Can't stop laughing at her "follow me around" videos. I wonder if she is on Specktra, that'd be awesome.

Especially if you want the green to pop! The more red there is the better! Try to keep the wines and burgundies on the redder side as opposed to the brown side, but make sure you're comfortable wearing it (not many people are comfortable in red shadows). If you're not comfortable in more red shadows, do a red lip with a neutral eye. Even having a complementary colour somewhere else on the face (peachy cheek for blue eyes) will make your eyes pop!

Ladies, if I have Royal Ball... Do I need Romantic Breakdown? A friend of a friend is selling hers BNIB for retail price and I was wondering if I should pick it up. All the swatches here look super pretty!

Can anyone suggest or recommend an appropriate coordinating lip liner for Burmese Kiss please. Its out of comfort zone and I'm at a lost for ideas right now.

I have both and truthfully Royal Ball is even better in person. RBall is pink and RBreakdown is nude(beige). I wouldn't say you need it, but it is different enough, especially on the lips.

I swatched in-store a few days ago and the only difference I noticed was that Royal Ball was a little more pink while Romantic Breakdown had a hint more beige. I'm pretty sure you'd honestly not notice the difference on lips though. Either way, these two particular lippies look different on everyone so I'd grab it if you like these sort of colors.

I think usually I've seen recommendations for medium, clear toned greens and purples and the green just usually makes my eyes look muddier. What you've said makes a lot of sense for why the purples only sometimes work; and they definitely should be considered based on undertone.

I definitely fit into that category you mentioned earlier: the idea of reddish tones on my eyes sounded scary even though I knew that based on the color chart it was ideal. I'm going to have to definitely try those colors you've mentioned; I'd been eyeing that burgundy f/l in MiB earlier, so I think this makes it a definite!

It's lighter than almost everything and PINKER than almost everything, but bluer than dodgy girl. So it's PERFECT. the only real contender for ME is probably d'lilac, but they're kind of the same think only Lavender Jade is the pink version and d'lilac is the blue version. Well, and D'Lilac is PASTEL light, so you have to be in it for real when you bust that out.

From the horizontal picture, they are, top left to top right, then the second row, then the third:
Gunner, Smashbox Vivid Violet, NARS Dominique, Pure Heroine, Viva Glam Nicki 2. Then the middle row: OCC Technopagan, OCC Hoochie, Marc Jacobs Truth or Dare, Lime Crime Pansy, Violetta, Asian Flower, Lime Crime D'Lilac, Lime Crime Chinchilla, Lime Crime Airborne Unicorn, LAVENDER JADE!, Dodgy Girl. Then bottom row: Heroine, Smoked Purple, Up the Amp, Goddess of the Sea.

SO, the only one out of these it TIES with instead of beating is D'Lilac. It is VERY similar to Dodgy Girl, but bluer so it's more awesome. And it's VERY similar to Airborne Unicorn, but lighter (so better), and a tad bluer (so better).

I don't want to say how many of these i have - not all of these, but most, and some others not here... I was going to do a photo of my lavender/purples - got the lipstick box out, but had to run out. Later...
