MAC Early Buzz - News for Upcoming Collections in 2015

Nicka K (a $0.99 beauty supply store makeup brand) has this acrylic packaging with silver...whilst I have a lot of love for Nicka K products (ESPECIALLY their Dodgy Girl dupe)...I'd have to take a huge step back from the MAC counter if their lipsticks looked like Nicka K's.

Bwahahaaaa, love me some Nicka K! You have a point if you put it that way. They should replace that gaudy cold with rose gold or something.

It might've looked better if the packaging was round (like the regular MAC lipstick packaging but clear) instead of square.

UGH. that packaging is FUGLY! Reminds me of those cheap ass lipsticks from the dollar store.

I like the clear, but I'm not too keen on the gold part...

Unless Mac does some interesting colors in that packaging they can keep their lipsticks and I'll keep my 99 cents because that packaging is horrible.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm still trying to see the beauty in it. Maybe if the gold had been a darker shade in a different colour or had an ombre effect. Gold is hard to pull off when using cheap material. Or completely thinking out of the box turned it into a lava lamp type tube. Anything else would have given it a wow factor.

I love acrylic and have been waiting for an acrylic clear bullet from MAC...but I'm not really feeling this. I hate square packaging on lipsticks in general and that gold seems like such a weird, gaudy choice. I get that acrylic is kind of a love or hate thing design-wise so you think they'd try to make it as appealing as possible. A completely clear rounded tube would have been cool or maybe just switching the gold to silver or even a rose gold? Such a weird design choice that had the potential to be really cool.

I got a feeling that this collection will be nudes and pinks. Never known Ellie to wear reds, oranges etc. her makeup is pretty much highlight, blush, eyeliner and lippy

Here's hoping there will be highlight and eyeliners. I don't think I own many mac neutral shades.

Is it a PLW lipglass or PLW lip colour? The PLW lip colours are double ended... one side has the liquid colour and the other a clear overgloss. That is what I have in a colour called Purpetuate. It's an excellent product. 

It's the lipglass. As much as I love the colour, I just hate the staying power

If an adult is stupid enough to think it is a smart idea using crayola, I'm fine with it. The money they save, they will probably spend on medical bills.

The sad part is that the probably inspire young teenager to do this, and this is not ok - at all!

The Kelly packaging was worse IMO, especially as it was so light weight.

I hope it helps if you know they were horrible to walk in. And because of that picture I am now on the hunt for the fucsia bag. I don't think I will ever find them. I did saw those shoes for sale but shipping is going to be a pain in the ass.

I thought they were pretty comfy to be honest - for heels that is.

I for one do not need another red lipstick. I've bought at least 7 this year.

Pretty sure the face kits are in palettes like with the look in a box and illustrated ones from previous years.
