All Things Sephora

I wore some stuff from my last order today. Urban Decay Rapture. When it came, I thought what's the big deal? It doesn't look all that special. I have to say I really did like it on. I have so many blushes, I think I must have a dupe but I can't really think of one. I put it on about 6:30 this morning and its still going strong. Also wore the Laura Mercier Ritual. I didn't get much pink in mine and was going to try to find another at Sephora but I decided to put it on today and it went on pretty warm, not like how the others swatched on me. I really like it.

Also, went to Sephora to return a MJ lip pencil I bought. I ended up buying so much. I'm wondering if it even made sense returning if I buy so much more on the trip to the store.

Oh yeah and I wore the Kat Von D shade and light eye palette again today. That must be a record but I still keep forgetting to use the brush that I bought with it. It must be because it is in a special case. I did pick up a bunch of Kat Von D liners today. I was so confused about 2 of the brown shades. I watched both but couldn't find any difference between them. One was Mad Max something. I don't remember the name of the other one.

It was actually good. I've never taken one either but I figure I could learn a thing or two. I'm not a huge contourer though I like highlighting. I just find I see too many sideburns on women that's supposed to be a contour and it's a little tricky. Most of the other ladies were clueless so I felt like I shouldn't have been there because I kept answering the questions right, lmao. I'm a self-taught mua if you will, so of course I take all the info I can and I did learn stuff. They kept looking at me like "Hmmm" when they were coming to see how we were doing because they didn't have to really correct what I was doing. I'm going to do their Flawless Foundation next Tues. The only thing is I showed up with my face full of makeup and didn't want to take it off, lmaooo! So I didn't go from start to finish like the other women, which was fine they said, they just wiped off by my chin to do my color iq.They started from moisturizer up so it was helpful for the others because some of them don't even wear moisturizer, eye cream, etc at all! I just skipped ahead to the contouring part, which is why I went. When I told them I do that stuff daily with a 2yr old at my feet they were in shock, they were like "I just throw on my makeup on the train!"
Where are you taking the classes?

i'm always amazed and a little shocked (and put off) but ladies doing their makeup on the train. Gloss and mascara okay. But concealer??

Also there is only so much you can do on the train. Definitely not eye shadow unless it's just one swipe of a cream shadow.

Time Sq. I know re the train. Drives me crazy! Tbh I've never seen anyone whip out concealer. Usually only liner, mascara, blush...eyelash curler. The most I do is reapply/check lipstick on the train.

Today I bought the MUFE Nudes That You Need palette at Sephora and it's AMAZING!

Everyone needs these nudes!

I don't have many neutral shades (not even from Mac and Urban Decay) so this palette is an excellent start along with the Lancôme My French palette.

I got the triple points, but the 16% was over when I ordered. I got the leopard print gigi's. http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/sam-edelman-gigi-sandal/3930931?origin=keywordsearch-personalizedsort&contextualcategoryid=2375500&fashionColor=&resultback=536 Now I need black. I hate black shoes, but I wear so much color in my clothes that I need something that doesn't clash.
I just got these for the same reason.

My issue with people applying their makeup on the train is that I can't help but watch stare. I obviously love makeup so I love to watch their techniques and how they look in the end. So really, I'm the victim. I'm forced to be a creepy weirdo, lol!

I can't stop using Ritual---to me, it looks anything but special in the compact---in fact, I think it's ugly, but man it's now one of my favorite bronzers---bar none. That could all change once I get around to using my 2 new Tom Ford bronzers, but for now it's number one---even over my Guerlain bronzers.

To you buying way more than you returned! What did you expect---you put a makeup addict in the middle of makeup heaven.

 Same. I don't care about people applying their makeup on the train or bus. Maybe they woke up late or it's just easier for them somehow. The problem is anytime someone in front of me on the bus applies their makeup in the mirror, I look and I hope they can't catch me looking in that mirror!

I swear by the Fresh Black Tea mask and the Rose mask. They're pricey but they just make my skin feel so good!
I had a weird reaction to some Fresh products before so I only use their lippies. The girl who does my microdermabrasion said she had the same reaction to Fresh. I was sad because I hear great things about their stuff, but my skin looked scale-like after using it for two days. Then when I used my eye cream it started burning. After that happened I had to get a low grade chemical peel with my microdermabrasion because I was afraid of scarring.

What does your Ritual look like? I'm still curious about one with more pink and that cranberry color.

I do have some pink veining and just one VERY small area of burgundy, but it's deep brown on my skin. It's so excellent for bronzing/contouring.
Good to know. I have to check tomorrow to be sure but I think there was just a bit of pink at the top of the compact but no burgundy at all.

The pink & burgundy can't be distinguished when you swatch or wear it so I'm not sure having one w/more or less pink really matters. The end result seems to be a deep brown.

Girl at least you have a vanity!! I have one of those IKEA Alex 5 drawers and it helped with some of the containment. However I also have Muji drawers, DVD racks, etc. I'm moving soon so I'm hoping that I get better organized. Step one get a dedicated vanity and a separate dedicated desk. Instead of using one piece of furniture for both and hoping for the best.
We've been looking for a new house and I already told my fiancé that we need 4 bedrooms because I'll need a whole room to myself for my stuff. I need something like this, along with a bunch of other storage options.

I have something that I'm working on and sharing an office with my fiancé is not going to work. Since my daughters birthday is coming up her presents are shoved up against my desk because that's the only room she's not allowed to go in. And since my fiancé is the one bringing in most of the money right now his section of the office is more important to get to. He'll feel like a chump when I'm the main bread winner. Haha.
