The TF smoky eye brush. I blew it off, looked at in stores, thought it was an EXACT dupe for the MAC one. I have hooded eyes (thanks Mom). I recently purchased this and when I took it out, boy I was wrong about it being a dupe. The edge of the puppy is like the tip of a true foundation pen. It is precise head, cut on a angle. Think of the new tip in the Dior glosses that were released a few months ago. The one with the dimple in the center. It is a wowsers. The other one I really like crease brush. It has a slight angle across the top. Perfect amount of product is picked up and does exactly what it is suppose to do. I have also found I use one side not the tip to apply or pick up product. Hopefully this makes sense. Lip brush is good too. But is is a bitch to get really clean. Could be the wax product that is in the lipsticks. It does clean up, but I need to clean it about 3 times. Even when the bristles are white, when I wash again, I will still get slight color of product. It holds up to daily washing. I like it since it is not housed in the enclosed sleeve as so many lip brushes are. Yes, my germ phobia is speaking again.....

You are so spot on about the bronzer brush being a cat. I thought it was the tip of my Newfies tail!!!! That is one huge brush, but it is so soft and pretty. My Newfies are going to the groomers for their annual shave down. My parent's are thrilled. The twice daily Dyson run comes to a stop. Plus Hemingway (male Newfie) has to get camera ready. He walks in the 4th of July parade every year. He is the last one in line. The children flock to him and follow him to the park where there is picnic for all, at no cost for the village people. With the dog flu, they have not gone anywhere. Demi misses his dog park days.

I will swatch Bette this morning for you.

I will take a pic of the TF smoky brush and the MAC version so you can see what I mean. Have to wait until Daddy leaves in about an hour. Best he not see what I have.

Used the light shade from Raw Jade with Gucci Agate eyeshadow duo today. I thought it would be close to one of the shades from Dior Blue Lagoon but the effect is different enough lol I'm not drawn strongly to any of his other palettes but those cream/powder duos are aces in my book

Pretty, have you tried that Chantecaille face wash? I asked somewhere, but if you posted that answer..I missed it.

I have not. I actually forgot about it, so thank you for the reminder. How about you? have you tried it?

Welcome to the 'Hoodie' club Ash----I have them too! Thanks for your insights about the TF eye brushes. I started with two-----the Eyeshadow and the Eyeshadow
Blender. They arrived today. I'll get the SE brush next.

I would be concerned about taking my fur baby to the dog park too. They're too precious to take the risk!!

I've already ordered Bette (that was my MIL's name & I love gold e/s)----don't go through the trouble of swatching your's. It was inevitable that I would order it!!!

VERY pretty AWS.  I adore your soft eye looks.  I really do.  I had a dental appointment today and just wanted a wash of color on my eyes and the result was lovely &   soft.  You inspired me!!! Thank you!!!!
Aw, thank you [@]Medgal07[/@]!! I have to practice working in the crease of the eye and blending in the outer V. A lot lol I don't wear makeup and home. I apply in in the car or at work. Might try one if those mirrors from Sephora.

It is like comparing apples to oranges, literally. Both are good. CT are fluffy, very creamy, remind me of chocolate  or I guess any flavor mousse in texture. I use the Chanel round fluffy brushes to apply. Lightly and I mean lightly dap into jar, and apply to eyelid. Very easy to blend out. You can build up the intensity of color in layers. TF to me is like the texture of just open soft cream cheese. Gee, can you tell I cook??? It is firmer, using the TF concealer brush works the best. I tried the Chanel concealer brush. Better result with TF brush. Using a stiff brush on CT gives way too much product.  The color of TF is out of jar bold. More challenging to blend. A super little amount goes a really long way. It also has more shimmer within the actual product. CT has a soft sheen vs shimmer, if that makes sense???? I have found if I use a base of Norma Jean over the entire eye, very lightly, TF blends betters. Or the Guerlian White Sand as a base. The Chanel cream sticks blend a ga-billion times better over either of these bases. Yes, even if you use primer. Which I do.  One is not better then the other. Just different in texture, application. I have found on my Pink Casper skin that Cleo is not in your face teal. Actually not really teal at all. Unless I use the Chanel eyeliner from a few collections back or the Dior turquoise kohl pencil. Or the new Chanel purple liner from Summer 2015. Then just a gentle wash of the color. I have found the color in the jar is not the color on your lids. It is more of a soft wash of that color. Remember Art 101 no color stands alone. It is effected by the colors surrounding it. Think of the lip glosses from Chanel Summer 2014. Like the orange one. You do not get the Naval Orange color in the tube. It is just a lovely pinky, with a soft touch of coral (which usually looks like $hyt on me) But this I love. When I put this on work. Yes, it fits perfectly in a chef's jacket  pocket on the upper sleeve. They think I am nuts. Which I am, but that is not the color that ends up on my lips.  Hope this helps. I will totally own when I first received CT, I was less then impressed. Now that I have worked with them, no regrets. Would purchase again. Mona is not brown on me. Again, what you see in the jar, is not what ends up on your lids. Yes, Cleo and Armani are not dupes. But heck, I don't think pea pods and green peppers are the same color either.....seasonally cooking for 3000 on Sat. has me dreaming of fresh veggies and fruits......
Thanks for mentioning the brushes you use to apply the cream shadows. I purchased the TF concealer brush to use and it makes a huge difference. The application and result is so much better than what I used before. But, I still get creasing. What primer do you use? I have oily lids so this is a constant challenge. TIA!

I use the YSL new one that is matte finish in the round jar. Or I use Kevyn Aucoin eyeshadow, it is like an ivory color. It has the other stuff in it so it can be used as a primer. If it creasing it might be blended out enough too. I will take a Q-tip and clean up as needed. I have hooded eyes. So at times my eyeliner will end up in my crease. I use the Chanel concealer brush to apply the YSL. Since I use the TF for the shadow. Doesn't matter if you use one for both. I just have a thing about clean brushes going into products and transferring germs from one pot to another.....
