I've never been a fan of the effect they give and I only bought these because of the specktra influence but I love them!
Oh you're hooked now---no turning back!!!

Thanks. Can I ask why you prefer rainbow?
I think it's because I can only wear Teint rose in the winter. They make my face too pale in the summer and also they are quite shimmery, so I can't wear them when it's sunny. The rainbow meteorites are much more subtle and they just even out my skin tone without adding tons of shimmer (I do love shimmer, just not all over my face on a sunny day).

That's really helpful to know. That was my concern that Teint Clair might be too light in summer. When I'm a bit tanned I wear Sisley Soft Beige, I can also get away with Chanel B20 if I wear bronzer. I, too, would hate lots of shimmer in the sun. Do you think you'll be able to wear rainbow pearls in winter, too? Sorry about all the questions but I've tried a couple of Guerlain counters and they hadn't even heard of Rainbow pearls do I couldn't try them. They also didn't have testers of Clair, only Medium. On another note have you tried Joli Teint powder duo? If so what did you think of it? Thanks again.

You are about same coloring as me. I am chanel B20 only during summer and it's slightly darker. B10 would be my perfect shade and I can wear teint clair year around.

Thank you. Do you not find it too sparkly / shimmery in the sun? That's what mkoparanova mentions. Do you know if there's any visible difference on the skin between the regular balls in Clair and the compact? Is one less shimmery than the other? I've read conflicting opionions on different blogs. On another note, can I ask your opinion on the Joli Teint Powder duo? Can they be worn over the whole face? Which gives a more blurring effect Meteorites or Joli Teint Powder? Many thanks.

To me they are not shimmery at all I love that kind of a glow but I understand why some people find them shimmery. I do not have clair compact, just medium.

Joli teint and meteorites i wouldn't compare at all. They are totally different product. Meteorites will give glow and blur better while joli teint will give nice healthy warmth to the skin.

I don't tan very easily and Chanel B20 would be dark for me but I use bronzer on the highest points of my face and body and the Teint rose meteorites kind of ruin the effect. But that's the old formula, I haven't tried Clair. I'm sure I'd be able to wear the rainbow ones in the winter too.

I haven't tried the powders, I have too many bronzers and finishing powders, so I don't need them now.

Ladies, as I said on the Guerlain thread, if anyone needs the Rainbow Balls, I can order them for you from Escentual. They cost £36 plus £10 shipping (tracked and insured) which is roughly $69 (plus Paypal fees). I'm happy to help, PM me if you want to.
I might send you a pm next week when I get paid. I don't want to miss out on the rainbow pearls.
