You're welcome! That's very sweet of your husband! But I 1,000% agree, it is definitely the principle of the matter and I would feel the same way!

Sooooo sephora canceled my order that included a dollar hair tie and the 250 perk lipstick bag because I violated the terms of use for flash shipping according to the CS rep!!!! They told me to refer to the terms of use to go see what it is that I was in violation of...really, I'm talking to a CS rep who is telling me to refer to the terms when they are speaking to me live and can't read it off to me or tell me what the heck it is that I did!!!!!!!!!????? Wth? In spite of my disgust, I went to look at the terms of use and saw that I violated NOTHING! Everything I did was in accordance with their flash shipping policy...after arguing with this damn nut about their flash policy and what it states in black and white, I was told that they would prefer if I ordered something more expensive than a hair tie to redeem my bag. PREFER??????? WTH?????? ...your policy states NO MINIMUM PURCHASE REQUIRED!!! I don't give two (curse words) about what they prefer, the policy states that I can do what I did!! They had NO RIGHT to cancel my order because they preferred for me to order more!!! I'm PTFO!
What the hell?! That is unacceptable, I'd be p!ssed, too.

If you look on their forums, this has been an ongoing issue that Rouges have (legitimately) complained about for awhile- people were getting banned from placing online orders for too many small purchases because they were being told that they violated the TOS for Flash.

It's all a bunch of crap, if you ask me.

Thank goodness for hair ties!

So they hid the button - that's why I couldn't find it. That stinks. Thanks for the info!

It should be a bigger size lipstick for sure. They're so cheap!
For real----------they should give a full size lippie.

How stupid, don't offer unlimited free shipping if you're not willing to follow through with it. What a joke! I ordered a $5 nail polish set the other day am I going to get cancelled too?

They are losing their minds! And are about to make me shop elsewhere! I'm just in shock at the audacity! They expected me to lay down and take what they had to offer me?! I'm writing another letter, this one is two pages so far...

I'm so disgusted with sephora.
Holy Crap----oh no they didn't!!!!  From where I sit they broke the terms of the agreement.    :boxing: :boxing: :boxing:
They did break the terms, and I stated that to CS. I asked for a manager 3 times, never got to speak with one, and the dingbat on the phone was acting all scary Everytime I requested one...this letter I'm writing is going to shake up some tables! Having my attorney (my mom) proof read it before I send it out!
Slowly moving away from sephora, that's crazy Yarah.
Me too darn it!

Totally unacceptable! I still can't believe that he said,"we prefer if you bought something more expensive. .."

Yeah, and I'd prefer it if I had a body like Naomi Campbell, but unfortunately we don't always get what we prefer, lol.
I'd love to know their response to your letter, please keep us posted.

None of Sephora's "perks" are free that's why I started buying stuff like my Anastasia products, Urban Decay, Benefit, Too Faced, Peter Thomas Roth, etc. from ULTA or high end items from Nordstrom so I can get some kind of discount that benefits me and not the store.

Yeah I buy anything I can at ulta I'm close to 2000 points so I can get $125 of free stuff. Today they have a free full size algenist mask with any $40 online purchase

That's awful, but I am not surprised. Sephora has been doing underhanded crap like this for a while. They've banned people from using promo codes multiple times and for "abusing" Flash. They reported being told the same... we PREFER nonsense! Well, your customers PREFER if you honor your word and your policies written in black and white!

I saw a few people post (on Facebook and different forums) that Sephora told them that they lose money on shipping and they have to pay for the free samples and that they need to look at it from a business point of view. WTH?! Why would the CONSUMER need to look at it from the business point of view? Don't you have employees to do that before they come up with the programs you use to falsely entice customers?!
