Guerlain discussion

Display at Nordstrom. After a discussion with the Guerlain SA (who didn't realize these were different), I think I've put it together. This is a new display, which she said came without instructions so she put it out. I highly suspect this was to be put out for Anniversary Sale. Apparently pre-sale is appointment only this year (I went wha?!?!? At that too). I have a set of Rainbow Balls on hold and an appointment at this store on Thursday. I'll report back with details once I get them.

Pre-sale is appointment only? That is crazy. I don't see how they are going to make that work. Is that just for cosmetics? My Nordies had a very small Guerlain counter (really an end cap) and then the last time I was there I couldn't see it at all. Lately I'm scared to venture anywhere near their beauty section unless I need to buy something because their SAs are so aggressive lately.

Wow. So whoever mentioned that the Rainbow Balls would be available at Nordstrom for their Anni sale was right! Sorry, I can't recall who gave us that news.

Exactly---we had two stories---1) They would be a Nordies exclusive, during their anniversary sale & 2) They wouldn't be coming to the states at all!!!!!

Nordies just put up the new cleansing water. Anybody try this yet? I like cleansing waters, so I think I would like to try it.

you have to check often they have some great stuff. they had Ysl lipsticks and lip stains, chanel creams, shiseido stuff, clinique skincare, some lancome skincare etc... but sells out fast

I purchased a Sisley mask from them before but have totally forgotten about checking their web-site.

This collection is a skip for me too. I have my fingers crossed for the Holiday collection.

I absolutely love all my Guerlain products, but they're so generously sized and fine-milled that I've barely made a dent in any of them. My bronzers will last for years (literally), I have two bronzer/blush and my pearls look like I just bought them.

It will take a beautiful powder in glorious packaging to get me to buy at this point only because they've set me up for the next 3-4 years easy. I like my pearls a lot, but they're very similar and with Medium, Crazy Pearls and Perles d'Etoiles I feel like I have the warm tones covered.

Just for fun, here are some Of the Guerlain products I've acquired over the past several weeks. *Rainbow Pearls *Perles Du Paradis *Blanc De Perles *Cruel Gardenia Highlighter *Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzer in 02 (Natural Blondes) *Lingerie De Peau Powder Foundation in 03 (Natural Beige) I have Meddy to thank as my tipster, supporter, enabler and partner in crime for all 3 of the beautiful Perles! Love them all with the Rainbow Balls being my absolute favorite! The healthy flush and glow it gives my skin is truly beautiful and addictive! I can't stop wearing it. The Blanc de Perles have the most gorgeous blurring and brightening effect and I like wearing the Perles du Paradis on my cheeks bc of the glitter. I've been wanting a powder foundation and I'm extremely happy with this one. I'm not surprised since the liquid version is one of my favorite foundations. CG speaks for itself, just stunning! And I absolutely love how healthy and warm the 4 seasons makes my skin look. The formula is like butter!

Forgot to add this little cutie in my Guerlain haul this month. The Travel Meteorites "Voyage" in 01 Mythic. I believe this only comes in one color. It really is perfect for travel and gives the most beautiful finish. And the packaging is just super adorable!

Thank you! Oh man, I'm just loving Guerlain, especially for powders and foundations. Their Bronzers are amazing as well. I swatched the powder foundation at the counter, and they really aren't THAT different to be honest, I finally settled on #03 Natural Beige. It gives really great coverage without looking too matte or heavy. It has a really pretty finish and so easy to use!
