Probably not helpful, but this jogged my memory.... I distinctly remember checking the old MAC web site up until earlier this year and seeing 2 separate categories labeled "Amplified" and "Amplified Creme". It was when you were searching lipsticks by finish. I remember because every time I saw it, I wondered what the difference was between the two. I'm thinking someone left off the "Creme" in the web site update specification at some point, and a new category was created.

I wish I had a screenshot (but why would I have that?). Does anyone else remember this?

I'm on vacay, or I'd go look at the bottom of all my "Amplified" lipsticks to see if any read "Amplified Creme" now.

The Australian site still has the old layout so I just checked. Amplified and Amplified Creme are listed as separate options.

Neon Orange, Reel Sexy, Diva-ish, Full Fuschia, Fusion Pink, Violetta, Snow Orchid, Saint Germain, Double Shot and Tabla are listed as Amplified.

Morange, Craving, Cosmo, Fast Play, Brick O La, Chatterbox, Vegas Volt, Impassioned, Girl About Town, Up The Amp, Dubbonet, Dark Side, Half n Half and Blankety are listed as Amplified Cremes.

Some of my Amplified Creme's say that on the label (Morange), others just say Amplified (Dubbonet).

Exactly, I used to like the old site because I was always clicking "select by finish" or whatever the phrase was and that was how I shopped for lipsticks and eyeshadows. I remember Amplified and Amplified Creme being 2 distinct categories! Jon Stewart, what say you!

The UK site has both too. But just to add to the confusion, Neon Orange, Full Fuchsia and Fusion Pink are each listed twice - once as Amplified, once as Amplified Creme!

I have no doubt that they are one and the same, but it really doesn't help the general public when MAC uses both name versions interchangeably, and so inconsistently. Then again, we shouldn't really be surprised by that - it is MAC after all!

Picked up my package last night and am pleasantly surprised with my faux Heaux! It's a pretty shade and applies like Diva-ish on me which I love except I need a liner or else it will travel. There was no need to name this Heaux, though because all MAC is doing is letting people down that love the original. :/ I also got Quelle Surprise which isn't too special, but will be nice for Fall.

BTW- I wore the new Heaux with Laura Mercier Crushed Berry lip pencil recently and it was SUPER pretty. Brought a bit more pink/berry to it and toned down the reddish cast.

Guess what all, I wore Faux Heaux last night after a skincare class at Sephora because I had a bare face and wanted something soft on the lips...and I didn't mind it!

Pillowtalk!!! I apologize for the seriously bad lighting. Decided against the others. I wanted RR but last week bought Paramount & Viva Glam 3 & I'm looking to add more berries so I'm off to buy D for Danger instead of Heaux II . I'm officially hooked on mattes!

Acai is pretty. If you have not tried Nyx's Aria I would definitely check it out. Aria is even prettier.
I agree about Acai, I'm glad I picked it up. I think it would be flattering on anyone. It also looks great with a gloss over the top.

I'll have to check out NYX Aria. I first got some of their matte lipsticks a few months ago and I've been very impressed with the formula at that price point!

Lol I really, really hope they know how infamous they are for this. Other brands don't seem to have problems like that, it can't be that hard!
