This was a fabulous article!! And very true, about looking the same & not being taken seriously. Thanks for sharing!

Glad you liked it!
I thought it was interesting. I do see a lot of the same look being copied ad nauseum.
Wanted to read up on him before I bought from his collaboration

This is an awesome article...somehow I missed it the first go around!

It's funny because I follow what I call "trending" in fashion and beauty via WGSN (subscription database for my Fashion/Interior/Industrial students) which is more about forecasting up to 2 years ahead. Then there are things that are "trendy." The first thing that came to mind for me was highlighters and highlighting were super big in 2016!

Kaliardos is right, not every trendy thing in makeup and/or fashion is going to work for everyone. I like that his number one trend, if he had to define one, is seeking diversity and selecting for one's self!

"...Women should tap into and do their own thing too," insisted Kaliardos. Instead of following trends, "they should follow their heart and follow their own beauty, [their own] inner beauty advice because I feel like women know what they want to look like and are great balancing scales of what works on them and what doesn't and what they feel comfortable with."

It was an interesting perspective.

Do what you like, know what works for you (that's a process, ugh), please yourself!

(As an aside, the trend thing made me think of a blogger meet up pic I saw where everyone had the same baked/contouring/highlight look that I see so much on IG ... would not have taken notice individually but as they were in a group they all looked alike.)

how do you like it? i was considering that one too...

Moons of Jupiter is perfect on my NC45 skin. The next time I wear it, I'll post a pic. The Shining Hour... As I own a lot of the dazzleshadows from Le Disko, I know what to expect. I tend to use them on my lips for that extra dazzle (I'm rationing my dazzleglasses).

I highly recommend not rationing those dazzleglosses. They discolor, change texture within two years of purchase, at least that's what has happened to mine.

Now I'm reading conflicting stuff. Has anyone (excluding myself) had their dazzleglasses for over two years??? Or has anyone had their ones gone rancid???

I've had both Love Alert and Funtabulous for over two years and they're fine. No change in colour, texture and smell.

I have more than 20 and all are over 2 years old, color and texture are still the same, smells like vanilla still. I just wore Love Alert for a Valentine look. Only difference is that I added extra glitter to some of them. Yeah, I'm the kind of girl who can never have enough glitter.

I don't know but this is just my personal experience with this product. I purchased so many back in 2013 and had to quickly back2MAC them before they became discontinued.
That's weird. I'm pretty sad that they discontinued them though, but I guess the new ripoffglass is going to be similar.
