I just hope they learned from the Selena launch. I was fortunate to get the items I wanted as I admired Selena so much... But this is MAC, right? Hope they don't f... this up.

If it is cardboard, I'm skipping for sure. There are far more prettier highlighters with better packaging out there.

Saw it on MAC's Insta Stories and as always, I don't know this people. Also, don't care about the one I'll be able to buy (in Germany). There's so much wrong for me with that whole concept - why only make one lipstick available regionally and not do a whole collection like a few year's ago, when Christine and Karen etc. had their collab? Also, why do they insist on cooperating with people who aren't even into beauty? Caro Daur's lipstick wasn't exactly a hit over here (well, she admitted she wasn't into beauty and makeup that much... headdesk), and even if I like Palina (she also does some stuff on TV), I'm not at all sure why I should buy a lipstick she created.

Local marketing and collaborations seems to be really trendy. When you consider how many bloggers have collaborations with drugstore products (hand cream, shower gel, perfume, etc.), it doesn't surprise me that "higher end" brands like MAC want to jump on board to get their share of the market.

I agree it should be available worldwide it's really silly given they promote it on social media to be seen around the world.
I personally don't care much who they chose as long as I like the colour available to me however I do agree it would make sense to chose someone with an interest and knowledge in beauty and creating something unique and interesting as opposed to the random people they have selected when there are much better known and regarded people to consider.

They probably just go by numbers, i.e. number of subscribers rather than their knowledge of beauty.

Has anybody gotten the Gilt code to work yet? I still can't, just keeps telling me that I need to have $75 worth of stuff in my cart even though I have like $160 worth of stuff in my cart, and I made sure it was all permanent full size items, no Viva Glam, etc.
You have to call MAC so they can fix the code. It happened to me the first time they had the promotion.

Hope we find out soon. I'm guessing all of this stuff will come out in either February or March, cause I think April starts summer update. I pretty much want everything from the Jeremy Scott collection, a quad, a cremesheen glass, a dual ended eyeliner, and a brush from the Padma Lakshmi collection, 2 quads, 3 lipsticks and 4 lipglasses from random unnamed collection and who knows what else.
Now that I think about it, I wonder if that is Buzzed Out Retro Matte Metallic Lipstick, seems a few of those swatches are from there.
