I want to know if going to facials really help. I find that my skin is rather bad and I want to know if I should go for it.

I had the same issue. In my case, the problem was in the diet, and I didn't drink enough water. I like your skincare routine, do you use any night cream?

Hot showers. Facial wash. Toner. Exfoliator. Moisturizer.
Please list what specific products you're using. It will help us help you better.

Also: if you're using an exfoliating toner (something with AHAs versus an essence or hydrating toner) as well as a separate physical exfoliator every day, that's a lot on the skin. You also don't mention the use of sunscreen during the day, or any serums, or retinols or retinoids in the evening.

I also forgot to ask you what you mean by "bad" skin. That can mean a lot of things (overly dry, overly oily, breakouts, sun spots, hyperpigmentation, etc.). By being specific about your wants and needs in regards to your skin, thaf will also help us help you.

Sometimes diet can help, but I think while drinking water is a good thing, it doesn't help with skin problems and telling people to drink more is extremely overrated advice. Someone can drink enough water and still have dry skin, or get breakouts, or have sun damage, etc., and water will not help.

I'm using an oil-balancing toner and facial wash daily. I stopped using exfoliator (I forgot the name) and recently bought a tone soothing serum and sunscreen with skin tone control formula. I did not mention them because I don't have it. I simply do not have enough budget to but all the items.
