Sad! I hope he works on himself so you can be happy together but otherwise he won't be worth your time or effort.

I had to break off a relationship after 8 years, it just couldn't work out. But I think it's better to do it when you're certain, than to stick with it and make a mess out of your life for years to come. Now I'm in a better relationship and happy. If you asked me 10 years ago, I'd say it wasn't possible. I'm so glad I proved myself wrong, though.
