I think THE best thing I bought during the Sephora sale was the Peter Thomas Roth Unwrinkle pads (it was in the kit)

Everyone raved about them, but I was skeptical, but I bought them anyway & I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I also use them on the backs of my hands & the tops of my toes & feet. HG said they would make the skin feel like a baby's bottom & she was right! Super smooth skin.

Would you say the kit is worth it for someone my age? (23). I'm contemplating trying it - but at the very least I plan to get the kit for my Mom for her birthday as she's always into skincare. She's turning 46 and, in my opinion, looks like she's in her 30s.

Honestly, so far I have only used the pads. I should try the other items in the kit. Your mom would love them I would think. Your never too young for good skincare. If you already have nice smooth skin, you could probably pass on them. It does give a feeling/look of like a fresh new layer of skin instantly. I'll try some of the other products in the kit & let you know. The pads are so worth it.

Thats awesome that your mom looks so young! :)

Thanks, darlin'! I'll pick up the kit for her, as it makes sense to pay that price for the 60 pads and the other stuff than buy things separately.

I'm lucky in that I have pretty clear/smooth skin. Yay for birth control and my being religious in cleansing, lol. No matter how drunk I've ever been (even needing help to walk) I'd sit on the side of the tub or on the toilet and take my damn make-up off. In all my life I think I've only ever fallen asleep wearing make-up once, and that was because I just passed out on my bed instead of getting into bed (I seem like such a good example for people my age talking like this, lol!)

One thing that does give a fresh layer of new skin instantly, in my opinion, is the Pixi Glow Tonic. I don't know if you can get it in North America but I know Alpha H Liquid Gold is meant to be similar, just more expensive. I really notice a difference though when I'm not using it. It's a daily gentle acidic exfoliant, it's just amazing.

Definitely look it up - it's totally worth it.

Don't get me wrong, it's not perfect - I suffer from Milia quite a bit, but I get them extracted so it's tolerable. My biggest issue is when mother nature f**ks me over, as it does us all, lol. I'm definitely a lot luckier than a lot of people though. Now if only I could remove large pores.

[@]PeachTwist[/@], I just received 2 bottles of the glow tonic, which I ordered when Pixi had its recent friends & family 20% off sale. I can't wait to try it. I also purchased the PTR Unwrinkle pads and First Aid Beauty radiance pads (love). I'm looking forward to figuring out which I like best.

I got the Kat Von D Everlasting lipstick in LUV earlier today. I've been wearing it since and I kinda love it. I kinda didn't want to because of the person behind it, but yeah. These might be better than my beloved Aqua Rouge by MUFE. The color is gorgeous and it looked much better once it dried down. Initially, it was lighter than what I expected. It takes about 10-15 seconds to dry and it feels a bit tight, but not too much. Most important is that it doesn't look dry and it doesn't have any funky scent. I wanted to try Lolita, but only once I was sure I liked the product, but it's sold out. I might try Sephora tomorrow. Maybe one in the city since I have little faith in my local ones. I might end up w/ several of these things. :eek:hboy:  ETA: Spoke too soon b/c Lolita is back after being sold out yesterday. I'm going to wait and see if I can find it in store tomorrow, though.

Lolita looks like the natural color of my lips..maybe just a tad darker.
I found a thorough review here: http://youtu.be/0ICSMP1RcSY You can skip to 6:42 to see it on her lips. She's a lot darker than you, obviously so you can browse through to her swatches. It looks like a perfect color for me. Kinda in the bad girl riri family.

Now after a few hours the color has faded on my bottom lip, but that's OK. I usually reapply my lip color once while I'm out anyway.

It looks a lot darker than I thought. Darker than it looks on Sephora. I really like it. Yep, it is much darker than my lips lol. She is really pretty. Thanks for that!

My opinion: I love the palette, shadows are pretty but they aren't 'special'. They feel the same as my coastal scents. When I wear dior or Chanel I feel the quality. Anyone else notice this with Marc Jacobs? I don't own anything else to compare. Keeping it. Very pigmented but I thought I'd be wowed.

I agree. I'm planning to return mine and I haven't even gotten it yet. Stopped at Sephora this evening and saw it on the display. Not impressed with it. Colors are pretty but easily duped.

i have no color palettes in my collection. everything is neutral so i thought this would be great to liven up some boring palettes. It's really cute and i love the way it looks but with all the MJ hype I just expected more from the quality of the shadows. they aren't buttery soft or anything exciting. i think i expected more i guess.

i'm going to play with it and see how well they wear.
