Can anyone tell me if they like the Stila eyes are the window shadow palettes and if so what palette? I heard mixed reviews but I am so tempted to pick one up. Stila is having their 25% off now.
Oh noNOOOOOO I just killed my ardency inn eyeshadow in Hell. Dropped it.They really are pressed pigments and they are hella fragile. FML
Ha! Funny you should ask because I bought it about a month ago(?). Used it just the other day and I dig it. Again, I definitely recommend that line of brushes.Damn sorry to hear. Hey Shontay, did you try the Sephora smokey eye brush? How do you like it? What other ardency inn shades are a must have?
Yeah, I just didn't know that they took the same style of brushes over to black. I thought some of them were new. I had a blush brush in gray handle and..just no.The gray handle is what they had before they changed it to the black handles....
Meh, its okay. I've only tried the regular one, and in winter, and it made me look a little too dewy and I have dry skin. But its good coverage for a TM and the oil free version is better, or so I hear. It gets messy though. My order from the 9th seems to be stuck in permanent "sent to warehouse" status ... they can't cancel it then, right? Like it'll definitely get to me? And a whole bunch of stuff arrived - hourglass blush palette, sephora faves fragrance sampler, a givenchy lipstick, the kat von d lipstick set among other things. I'm actually really impressed with how much product is inside the little KVD lipsticks, hopefully they apply nicer than the full sized ones. Also, does anyone know if the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer is any good?
Try Estée Lauder double wear. I thought mat velvet+ was ok... Not life changing. Sheer glow didn't have enough coverage for me. Double wear looks natural and stays perfect all day. I love it. Great color range too. Also - you can sheer it out with beauty blender for less coverage. Does anyone have KVD Lolita or bauhau5? Thoughts / swatches?? My sephora has both in stock and I am itching to get them... I'm nc20 and on some people Lolita pulls brown... Any thoughts are welcome and appreciated!Oh nice! I was not a fan of HD at all! It looked like an oil slick on my oily/combination skin. I so wanted to love it but just hated it. Im currently testing out their Mat velvet+, Don't know how I feel about it yet.I just feel like the only thing that lasts nicely on me are bb creams.
Sandy, is Double Wear good for dry skin? My skin is a desert.Does anyone have KVD Lolita or bauhau5? Thoughts / swatches?? My sephora has both in stock and I am itching to get them... I'm nc20 and on some people Lolita pulls brown... Any thoughts are welcome and appreciated!
I'm pretty sure I have Bauhau5! If you're speaking of the liquid lippies. I always mix up their names, ha. The formula is definitely drying without prepping your lips first-- but damn it does not budge! I loove the color of bauhau5 on me, and I'm just a tad lighter than you. I'm not home, or else I would provide some swatches!Try Estée Lauder double wear. I thought mat velvet+ was ok... Not life changing. Sheer glow didn't have enough coverage for me. I'm not totally dry but I do get dry patches - and once the foundation "settles" It doesn't cling to the dry spots. I moisturize first but no primer so it's probably even better with primer. I don't find the foundation drying but it does control oil like a dream in t zone. Ask for a sample at one of their counters - took me a few tries to get shade match and their sales women were very sweet about giving me good sized sample to try out. Hope it works for you.Sandy, is Double Wear good for dry skin? My skin is a desert.
Yes I did mean the liquid ones sorry thanks for your thoughts. Do you feel it's like rebel or like a pinker version? More bright or more vampy? Sorry for the questions but appreciate your thoughts!!I'm pretty sure I have Bauhau5! If you're speaking of the liquid lippies. I always mix up their names, ha. It's no problem!! Hm, I do not have rebel to compare. I would say, it's a bit pink-ish (but not too much) if you do a thin coat. However, I usually let it dry and do another one for a darker shade-- a bit more vampy but nothing drastic on my pale skin. Googling pics of rebel on fair skin ladies leads me to believe rebel is a little darker. It wouldn't say they're too close! I would say a big no.Sandy, is Double Wear good for dry skin? My skin is a desert.
I tried Estee lauder double wear and loved it! I was debating between that and the mat velvet I decided to get the mat velvet to just try something new. I'm still testing it out so if I don't like it I'll just return it and get the double wear at that new Sephora that just opened up by me. I really did love the Nars sheer glow, to me it had very nice coverage and I went through about three bottles of it at a time. I think that it's definitely a tricky one and is a love it or hate it kind of thing for people with oily skin.Does anyone have KVD Lolita or bauhau5? Thoughts / swatches?? That's a big help! Pinker than rebel sounds good and what I was thinking based on other swatches I've seen online. TY!It's no problem!! Hm, I do not have rebel to compare. Oh nice! I finally stopped looking for a "better" foundation. I just hope they don't change the formula again or that my skin doesn't change too much to make it not work for me anymore! I wonder how close this will be to Styled in Sepia.
