elegant - Sounds like you had two great weekends at the mall! The largest home improvement mall we have here is Ikea, which is fun but I wish there are other large stores which have completely different designs from Ikea, maybe something with more romantic/vintage feel. I'm making a conscious effort to stop buying glosses too, especially glossimers. But there are 2 new extrait de gloss from the velvet collection and also two here and a lacque, which I feel like I need them. Pinks and reds make me feel girly. I'm wearing Chance RCS today.

HG - Hope you get some sleep on the plane.

winthrop - I also need to see everything in person before deciding. Everything, except for the lippies, are on my maybe they're nice/maybe not list.

I want both of the holiday RA's, but the highlighter is pretty steep . . .

Thanks, I am excited to get going on more decorating projects. I love to copy magazine and catalog pics and do it for much cheaper. I need a few sparkly chandeliers in my life!

I bought that mirror from my Singapore connection - then no kidding - not more than 5 minutes later after I paid for it, I found it would be released here. Its fabulous & thin...& to pull it out of your purse to do your lips is just well, classy

I stopped buying lipglosses for the most part.

The mirror is the main thing I want from this collection. I'm still on the fence about getting anything else. I'm considering some of the eyeshadows but I will have to wait for better swatches or to see it in person. BTW when is this collection debuting?

There used to be this show I loved on HGTV where they took a show room/designer room and did it on the cheap!  I love stuff like that!  I think I need the highlighter...how can I pass on that?!?  OMG, it's so beautiful.

Luckily for me, there's nothing I want from this collection except for that loose powder. Which is kind of boring, and I'm not really sure why I want it!!

After having spent more than I planned to with Chanel recently (new foundation, powder, mascara, curler), knowing the RA Velvets are still around the corner, and my wallet *still* recovering from the Byzance collection, I'm going to try and stay strong and completely ignore the holiday collection. There's a lot of wants there for sure but nothing is striking me as a *need* anymore. I'm confident Famous will be a close sister to Rouge Byzantine, I don't need every brush in the brush set (I want mainly the foundation brush, and I can get that separately now), and not only do I think the highlighting powder will make me look sickly with its pink tones but I already have a highlight--JC Or. If I bought the highlighter and it worked for me I'd never touch Or again, and that would be a waste. *forces herself out of the thread, tries not to peek back but knows she'll fail eventually*

Totally agree with you snarky one.. I feel almost the same. I do want the highlite powder, but it's not going to make me any more or less happy if I do get it.. lol

I am not into golds and reds, so the only things I want for now are the highlighter (if it is not too pink) and the beige glossimer (if it is not too clear or sheer when applied).

So I called the Macy's where my crazy Chanel lady works to see if just maybe they got the Holiday collection...she answers the phone & I ask her if they got the Holiday & she says can you wait a minute, puts the phone down & is gone for like 4-5 minutes leaving me hanging only to come back & tell me no they didn't get anything. geesh hmm, I updated to the new Firefox browser & it says this text editor is not compatible so if this looks weird thats why edit: looks like its working to me

I don't know....those pics don't really entice me...although others have...what about you? I'm also considering the Guerlain holiday hilter (although I'm afraid of the violet fragrance with my finicky skin). They're both so pricey so i'd need to choose between them and then there's the fact that I never really use hiliters very frequently to begin with...so I'm very undecided.

^^ I think it is the embossed pattern that is drawing me in. I have loved other promo pics where the highlighter looks more golden. But yeah, I rarely use highlighters. I wondered about the violet scent of the Guerlain also. I can handle the rose scent of Chanel -- but some fragrances are just too strong for me. I guess I will need even more reviews!

Thanks for the link, winthrop. I'm also considering the Guerlain holiday powders too. I always use highlighters but I have more highlighters than I can ever finish.

The pics don't make me want the highlighter, but the words do. I like that there is a hint of pink, so it is not just another golden beige highlighter. I have many golden beige or white shimmery highlighters. I wonder how this compares to the Aquarelles powder which most of you didn't buy.
