Oh bummer! I just want to get my hands on that blasted quad! lolUpdate: Chanel.com just told me some things have been pushed back to Nov 11-14 ... they are not sure but think the quad is one of them.

Thanks a lot! That really helps because I'm NC20 too. I think I'll be getting the Chanel one then.I love the texture of Guerlain , but the colors in Chanel suit me.
The Guerlain is a lot warmer , I am NC20.
I was most excited for the Dragon Météorites and the Star Dust JC, but after reading them being so glittery i just don't know anymoreI saw the Guerlain es palette today. Its pretty but I didn't get it. I didn't get the Dragon Meteorites cause they were too glittery for me. There was no Chanel Holiday anywhere for me to see I did get to see the Dior Holiday which I thought was really pretty. Kind of a bummer MU shopping day.
And, after reading about all the sparkles in the Chanel JC, I think I will pass on it too.
I can handle some shimmer, just not chunky glitter. I do like the JC in the pics Michelle just posted. What do you think?I was most excited for the Dragon Météorites and the Star Dust JC, but after reading them being so glittery i just don't know anymoreI can handle a bit of glitter, i just need to check out for myself how much glitter we are talking about exactly lol .. Not removing them from my wishlist yet, still hopeful i will like them alot anyway *fingers crossed*.
The Chanel JC imparts just a bit of shimmer - not chunks of glitter. The Chanel holiday loose powder is the one with the chunks of glitter. The Star Dust JC definately has some sparkle to it, but it is not too much.I was most excited for the Dragon Météorites and the Star Dust JC, but after reading them being so glittery i just don't know anymoreI can handle a bit of glitter, i just need to check out for myself how much glitter we are talking about exactly lol .. Seriously? Chanel.com told someone else today that they will have it up before midnight tonight, so who knows. lol I gave up and ordered Malice & the quad from Bloomingdales since I had a GC to use anyway. Their expected ship date is 10/29 though. When i did a livechat with nordstrom, I asked about the GWP on chanel purchases. She said the only GWP in her system was near black friday. I then asked when do they expect the CHANEL holiday collection to be online. She also said the next sceduled quad to come in is on black friday. sigh.
This sounds like BS to me. I have never had this happen. I would return them.I also had a bummy MU shopping day. I went to go pick up my Dragon Meteorites from Nordstrom. Before going upstairs to get it from Customer Service, I stopped by the Chanel counter and heard the same old story. They don't have the Holiday collection yet. Then I went by the Guerlain counter to preview the Meteorites in person. I like the way they look in the jar, but really couldn't swatch properly. There was no brush out and the SA was busy with a customer. I did swatch the Turandot palette while I was there. I don't know if the tester was bad, but I felt really meh about the quad. The colors mostly didn't stand out against my skin tone. I just thought it was nice. Nothing to make me want to buy it. So that confirms the Chanel quad for me.
I head upstairs to pick up my order. I find out that they don't have my sample gift. I also learn that the tote bag is an online only GWP. The SA did say that he'll have the sample shipped to me. I decided to make one last stop at Macy's. I was hoping they had the Holiday collection so I could get the quad. They didn't have the collection and the SA seemed very disinterested in being helpful. I was about to leave the mall, but stopped to check my Meteorites box. I opened the box and saw dusty fingerprints on the container. I walked right back to the Guerlain counter to exchange it thinking someone had opened it. She opened another box and it also had dusty fingerprints. She explained that everything is hand packed, so that's a normal occurrence. Can someone confirm this? I accepted her answer and left since the other box also had fingerprints.
As I was leaving the mall, I felt so unsatisfied by that shopping experience.
Oh, thank god, i'm definitely excited for Star Dust againThe Chanel JC imparts just a bit of shimmer - not chunks of glitter. The Chanel holiday loose powder is the one with the chunks of glitter. The Star Dust JC definately has some sparkle to it, but it is not too much.
I went back to my Chanel counter today to exchange an automatic liquid liner that I bought yesterday. The contraption was broken. Anyway my MUA said "Let me just try the Star Dust JC on you over your blush." I really liked the effect, so I bought the last one they had. If I don't like it/can't use it once I try it at home, then she said that I can return it. I rarely return anything though.
She did comment on how very few stores have gotten this collection in. She didn't understand why. Her counter is especially high volume, so they normally get everything promptly.
I have read a lot of comments comparing the Guerlain eyeshadow quad to Chanel holiday quad. I think that they are different enough to get both if you want. If I had to pick one, however, I would definately get the Chanel. I did a look with it today, and I agree with Shontay completely. Amazing!
When I enlarge that Star Dust swatch on my iPad I see very pretty multicolor particles throughout.
That looks very pretty. I'm wondering about her description of it as a "sparkly version of Rose Ecrin", though. If they're really close, I'd rather have the non-sparkly version, since it will be more versatile. On the other hand, pale pink shades work really well for me, so if they're somewhat different, I can justify having both.More lovely swatches of Chanel Holiday:

I love Rose Ecrin to go with just about any look since its so neutral. I totally think you can justify both! That looks very pretty.
