I really like the Tatcha one that Sabrina reviewed here:

and actually Chantecaille Brilliant glosses hydrate my lips as much as any lip balm:

But have you tried Aquaphor Lip Repair?

http://www.cvs.com/shop/product-detail/Eucerin-Aquaphor-Lip-Repair?skuId=857329

I also have used and liked Nuxe Reve de Miel and Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment (not the tinted ones with SPF), but both are very lemony. For more of a Chapstick-like product I like Caudalie's lip conditioner.

Honestly my lips usually stay smooth & well hydrated all by themselves unless I try on a lot of lipsticks or wear matte lipsticks for a couple of days in a row. That's how I realized the Chanel balm was drying out my lips...I was just wearing normal lipsticks or none at all and started using the Chanel lip balm and all of a sudden they were drying out. It felt good going on and for a short time afterwards but then started to feel drying and in the morning they looked pretty bad. The Tatcha took care of the dryness in one night.

I'm glad you posted that as I was going to ask but forgot. Bummer. I'm glad I didn't order it.

I gave the new Chanel another try and it actually stung, so I really think it was an allergic/sensitivity reaction unique to me. I wouldn't rule it out before trying it yourself.

I had a chance to try Chanel Hydra Beauty Nutrition and it is very similar to Hydra Beauty Creme just more thick. It absorbs quickly and leaves the skin velvety soft. It has the same smell as the others Hydra range. For 2 days my dry patches disappeared! :)

I'm really curious to try that one out and the nutrition lipbalm! I'm currently using the Hydra Beauty Gel, love it but I think I need a little bit more hydration.

Hi, can I ask a quick question about Chanel sunscreen? I have used and loved the old spf 50 formulation, for me it was perfect, no white cast, light and matte and superb protection for my super pale, burns within minutes skin. I need a new sunscreen and am wondering how the new offerings compare from chanel? I've heard they are not as good and I really don't want to make an expensive mistake (I'm in the UK so cannot return) Thanks in advance :)

The smell is a little different but the feel and consistency are very similar.
