You guys are making me hungry, talking about all that yummy food! It makes me wonder what a Luau salad is like :)

Thank you for your compliments on my pic, Shypo and Elegant!  I was getting really bored with the old one, and I'd really overdone it with blush there, haha, embarrassing! I'm straining my tired brain to think what lip products I've used for that bold red lip. I think it was a random red lipstick I've found in my stash by 3 Custom Colours, which was called Ballet Russe, but it's nothing like Chanel's Ballet Russe (which it is supposed to be an imitation of?) with Spanking Rich dazzleglass on top.

And yes, I am a huge fan of our little Makeup Addict Anonymous group! Chanel threads are the first ones I check now, lol! I check the Mac ones mainly for information, while I check this one for great entertainment :)
[/quote] Love your avatar, you have great cheekbones and you look like a Chanel model there :)

Hi Ladies! I think I'm back!
rasta.gif

My hubby's an all star and fixed the Specktra problem for me. Yay! He had to do something to the firewall and re-direct something else and and and...too many things I didn't understand but appreciate, lol. There's SO much I missed that I just won't ever be able to catch up so I'm just jumping in again starting now!

I did see a sexay pic up there ^^^ with Michelle in a blonde wig (ok, I'll give him credit too...the hubs is rocking that mask!). How awesome for you guys...that party must have been so much fun!

Elegant I think your son's event has taken place by now, right? I bet you looked gorgeous!

I think I may have finally turned my Mom into a high end make-up fan!!! HUGE news, lol. My parents are in New Zealand this entire month and before they left I sent my mom a "glamour survival kit" to take with her. I used one of those CHANEL drawstring pouches we've been getting as gift packaging lately and filled it with Exces RAeDG, an Enigma quad, Dior Show mascara, MAC's Play It Proper BP, and a Zinc Zone Greasepaint Stick! They'll be at countless wineries and are going to several special dinners and lunches and I figured she needed a quick "glamorous anytime" bag. Well...turns out she LOVES all of it! My dad isn't as excited as I am (lol), but I think she deserves it!

I'm getting so antsy for new Chanel...I can't wait for the full release of RC Shines and the Summer collection!

Glad you are back Meg! Thanks -- the wig was fun and I do think that my hubs actually did think he was Zorro for a bit :) How sweet of you to pack the glamour kit for your mom!!

How fun that she is loving everything. My mom doesn't get into makeup -- but my sisters do, so that is fun.

I'm anxious for the next Chanel line to come out, too. It is a mix of rain/snow today and totally drab outside. Le Sigh! Spring, where are you??

Is the five shadow eyepalette sold out online? i could not find it on chanel website
I think it is sold out on Chanel.com, but other online sites have it. I saw it on Nordstrom:

Not sure if other sites like Sak's and Neimans have it -- even Macy's and Dillards might still have it!

It's definitely worth picking up if you can find it! I love mine, especially that pinky peach colour.

Hey Y'all (as I type that, I feel I sounded like Paula Deen).

I've been away from Specktra, other than the lurking on my phone. My computer doesn't like here lately (I see others are having probs like me. I can log in, but when I try to post, I'm logged off. And it more often than not, takes for EVER to load pages. Or I'll start a post, and get logged off when I hit submit. omgosh i have had thoughts of throwing my computer every time).

It's been kind of crazy (I think it's always crazy though).

We are looking at houses. My husband is changing jobs (within the same company, and it's a good move, a good promotion).
THe new house would be kind of necessary in that the new job would add about an hour commute (traffic).
I know that's not a big deal, but we've lived here in our little "country" suburb since we first got married, and my daughter's school district is one of the best in the areas. We have a really big yard right now, and that's kind of important.
We would move to an area with another good school district, but an area that is extremely expensive. So, mixed feelings are the thing for me right now.

And then I want to come here and say hey to you y'all, and Specktra says oh, not so fast...

You guys will appreciate this though. I'm also having some problems with my shoulder I injured in November. I would like to say I injured it doing something really athletic or graceful, like soccer, or dancing. But I was simply walking in my hall and tripped over my pajama bottoms.
Well, 4 months later and still in PT, looking at possible surgery...
I left PT last Tuesday. Was feeling sorry for myself and did the next logical thing. I checked specktra on my phone. I saw that Jenius had been released the previous night, so, I went to MAC and ordered Pink Cult while sitting in my car in the PT parking lot.
Felt better almost immediately.
That's kind of scary really. lol.

Bonitinha, your pic was oh so hot!!!! I love the wig and your hubby's mask. I want to go to a Mardi Gras party soon!! loved that pic!
Elegant, oh that I had a flat booty. I enjoyed reading about your son and your shopping sprees!

HG, I think you are still gone?? I also enjoyed so much reading about your adventures. ;)

I love living vicariously through you guys!!!

everyone else, hello, I hope to talk to you all soon!

^^ Oh yeah -- where is that pic of Elegant's booty??

I grew up in Florida -- so I'm totally down with "y'all". Congrats on your hubby's promotion! And good luck finding a house -- I'm sure you will find the perfect one. Not cool with the shoulder injury (I think you should make up a more exciting story of how it happened -- cliff jumping, sky diving -- the possibilities are endless!). Hope you get to feeling better soon. But yes, makeup does make me feel better, too

Marajode, congrats to you and your hubby! I totally understand with the house thing. There is definitely a huge comfort level when you have been in an area for a while and you're happy with that area, especially with kids and being familiar with the school and the routine and everything else. But house hunting can be fun! Good luck!

And that really sucks about your shoulder, yikes. Hope one way or another the problem can be fixed as best as possible. Shopping therapy is sometimes very much necessary! I did a bit of damage myself today!

Congrats on your hubby's promotion, Marajode! Sorry to hear about your shoulder. If it makes you feel any better, I wear big heels- huge heels- all the time and last year I managed to severely sprain my ankle walking around our apartment in my bare feet. There weren't even stairs involved. It happened as I was walking across the completely level bedroom floor.

Elegant- Come on, booty photos, we're waiting...

And thanks for the picture of you as a blond! Makes me realise how different I must have looked like for many years, as I was a real platinum blonde, before I crossed over to the dark side.
Cheryl gave me her step by step instructions and I watched a vid on You Tube so I could see how it is done. I am anxious to depot, but hope I don't have too many casualties in the process!
Wow, you were a platinum blonde? You look so great with dark hair -- some people can pull off any look :)

Hi! I hope you get your Specktra issues figured out soon (I was having some myself!).

PT is so not fun, sorry you're having to deal with that and I hope you feel good as new soon (hopefully without surgery!).

I did have to laugh a little (sorry!) about the injury!!! I have done so many similar things I can just totally relate! When I was in high school I was trying to put those glow in the dark plastic stars on my ceiling in my bedroom (you know...for that totally dreamy romantic moonlit night look, lol). Well, my ceiling had that popcorn crap on it and they wouldn't stick with the normal adhesive they come with and I was totally frustrated! I figured out a crafty solution by using the adhesive to stick the stars to a push pin and them jamming the push pin into the ceiling. It worked and I felt like a star-sticker-upper stud, total success! So, I'm on my bed on my tip toes reaching into the far corner jamming the last one into place and...I totally eat it and fly off my bed. It was the most awkward fall ever and I landed sideways twisted like a pretzel into my closet door, somehow my pants slid down around my ankles (lol) and I scream. My dad runs in...checks to see if I'm seriously hurt (I'm not), and then spends a good 5 minutes sitting there laughing at my "totally cool saved by the bell boy cut underwear". I sliced open my big toe and dislocated my ankle, but incredibly no other injuries showed up. Every single time I had to tell the story of what happened in the ER someone new would laugh at me and looking back I can't blame them!

I was actually dating my now husband and he still gives me crap now and then about it, but at least I think it's funny now, lol.

Hahahahahaha - Meg - hilarious (not at the time) but oh my...the saved by the bell boy cut underwear is the best!

My younger brother had those glow stars all over his ceiling too.

Oh my! I had those stars too, and remember how far too often I've been risking spraining my shoulder muscles or falling off the chair pyramid, while sticking those onto the ceiling. It's exactly those ones that you need to put in a further away corner.

What a hoot! I have some similar stories - my husband tells me all the time I need to live in a bubble. I'm very clumsy and end up in the strangest situations.....2 summers ago I was bringing the mail in, while reading it (note to self: not smart) and tripped on the front (concrete) step and my face literally bounced off the doormat (it's a good thing it was there or I'd have no teeth in the front). Broke my nose, had a mild concussion, and scraped the daylights out of my leg. But the nose break was sort of straight across so no setting was required, and I don't have any evidence of it now.

One of the funniest was more bizarre.....I had a meeting at a client's office and I had to park across the street from the office. It was raining, and I was waiting for my boss to arrive. While standing at the light, he drove up to take a left, saw me and rolled the window down to tell me to get in out of the rain. Walking to the car, my heel hit a hole in the pavement and I fell flat on my back. It stunned me so bad all I could do was lay there. My boss comes around the back of the car and asks me what I'm doing (really?). The bizarre part comes in later: about 2 months later, my boss and I are taking one of our clients out to lunch, and were crossing the street where this happened, so my boss starts telling the story. Turns out the client was in a conference room in a meeting and they were all looking out the window when it happened because they thought someone had been hit by a car. It's funnier in the telling of it - I've left out some of the color.....

Only me.

So girls, don't feel bad. You're in good company here!
