Yes I did notice that. Very odd. They had actually gone and added the pictures last week and now everything is gone. I doubt they could have sold out on pre-orders since I don't think many people would even have noticed it in the drop boxes like us stalkers LOL. Maybe they just were getting annoyed with people calling about it all the time or something? It is very very odd? It is the first time I've notice them put up stuff for pre-order like that too.

^ absolutely right MJ... I spoke about Guerlain, or BB, or any other line other than the ACTUAL thread... some other ladies did and I did not see any real restrictions about such a preference or post. I apologize if I offended anyone. ...gotta rethink my time allotments for this forum. Sometimes it gets just dumb and dumber.

I'd like to clarify my earlier post - I wasn't singling anyone out nor did I think anyone did anything wrong. I'm not sure what you meant by this 'maybe some women are just intimidated by how much you know and your authority....' that seems like a rather rude thing to say. Anyway..back to the Chanel discussion.

There is nothing wrong with posting about other brands in other threads, especially when comparing brands against each other. And sometimes, there is the tendency to get off topic. It happens, and most of us don't care. I just want to emphasize that if you're posting anything informational you are posting it in the pertinent brand thread. Even if, as the Guerlain thread is currently, somewhat dead. A year ago, the Chanel thread was rather dead, and now it had it's own subforums.

My long winded point is, someone coming on here is not going to look in the Chanel thread for other brand info. So, to keep things orderly, information pertaining to specific brands should be posted in the corresponding thread. Chatting or comparing brands within other threads is fine.

Side note, HerGreyness is a vast source of information due to her being a product tester for various cosmetic companies (in addition to her general makeup addiction ), so in essence, she is a makeup authority, especially on new product releases. But, in some sense, given all our addictions, aren't we all makeup authorities?

Alright, I'll step off my soapbox...let's all hug and carry on with the Chanel-talk!!

I agree with you, I love Chanel lipsticks more and more whenever I use them, so much so that I hardly reach for my MAC lippies anymore. The Chanel lipsticks scent are addictive to me.

Thanks for the link of the video, Honey&Lemon Girl. I love the palette. Black Pearl looks surprisingly metallic on her nails, but I still want it.

Although we get new collections about 1 month later than the US, I think I'll be seeing the spring collection at my counters soon. Usually Asia gets the Chanel Spring collection very early, on New Year's eve or the first few days of the new year. Chanel wants to capture the crowd shopping for Lunar New Year (3 and 4 Feb 2011), which is the time for us to buy new garments, makeup, and literally almost everything.

For this collection, I'm a "no" on the quad and a "yes" on the quint. I'm only interested in the darkest shade in the quad, and I'm a strict believer (or at least I try to be) in loving at least half the colors in an eyeshadow palette if I'm going to buy it. Chanel needs to quit with the pink e/s shades already!

Miss QQ -- I am the same way about the scent of Chanel lipsticks. I take them out just to sniff them -- is that wierd?? Normally I don't like scented products (I can't handle the scent of YSL lipsticks and glosses). But I love the scent of Chanel lippies!

I'm such a sucker for that black color. I need to know if the blush is orangey or I would have ordered that too. The swatches of the lipsticks are weird on the site - so I didn't know what to get. ugghh
