Dammit Jim!
WIth my MAC fix not arriving this week, and my oh-so-mature response that I'm never ordering anything from anywhere ever again, then the disposal of that ridiculous thought, I'm jonesing to order something. I was looking at Clarins blushes last night. As many blushes that I own, I never feel I truly LOVE that many of them.
I have only bought Clarins fragrance and skincare. Never makeup.
Her you go using that beating heart next to blush descriptions... one of which I was looking at last night. Miami Pink.
hm. I love how those look dangit.

Elegant.. Coquette is gorgeous.. just a perfect balance of corally pink.. try it you will love it!

stv.. I did use my Rouge G this morning.. and I am happy to report that it is absolutely superb and worth the money... I wish I could back it up but frankly don't want to pay $ 150 on Ebay.. argh

I also purchased two blushes from our friends at Clarins.. the Coral and Miami pink shades.. they are also gorgeous and so smooth on application...

I just got a call this afternoon and apparently I didn't make it on "the list"...I'm on another list that's a back-up list to the real list (lol), which means I won't be getting one unless someone else passes...blah! Looks like I'm stuck with online ordering, but I'll let you know if something amazing happens and I end up with 2!

Ladies I'm wearing my Neapolitan ice cream look today!

Taupe-Delicate Duo on the eyes, Jersey Rose on the lips w/Rose Dilemma Glossimer, and MAC's Oh So Fair BP on the cheeks (with PiP highlighting, of course!). I really like it and anything that makes me think of ice cream is a winner, lol. Whenever we get a carton of Neapolitan as a treat the strawberry portion is always gone way before everything else...why isn't that side bigger?!?

I'm so irritated with myself about the Blush G! I trust my SIL's opinion, but I should have gotten one to try for myself just in case...now it's for sure impossible-ish to find!

You know, the worst thing about being over the thanking limit (how dare we be grateful), is that you THINK you got your thanks through, that box for the comment flashes before your eyes, then,
nope, you've been bad, you can't thank yet. Go sit in the corner and think about what you've done. geesh.


HG, I started turning grey when I was 19, mostly grey by 30. So not fair. And those oh so fun hot flashes. This is why I want to move to cold climate!!

Megan, we did get a few more things for the house. We picked out a beautiful chandelier and we got our dining room set. It's now my favourite room in the house, but one that the kids aren't allowed in unless we have people over! We still need permament window coverings though, and hopefully sooner than later! I was running around this morning getting myself and the kids ready, and had to run to my son's room to get him some socks. Well, forgetting that the carpenters were in the house next door that's not finished yet, I ran across the hall wearing only my pj top and undies and right past the massive window over our staircase! Hopefully, they weren't doing anything near any of the windows next door!

I'm so pleased for you! I bet your dining room is just lovely.

That is just SO funny! I do that all the time myself (the running around with windows open forgetting about the outside world). This morning I woke up to the cat yaking something up on the end of the bed (gross!), so I jumped out and threw the blankets off the bed (we just got a new silk bedding set and this was the first night it was on the bed, lol...of course!) and went into the kitchen to get cleaning supplies in very little clothing (lol) completely forgetting the french doors and window coverings were open. Of course once I got there I slow motion turned my head and made eye contact with one of the guys in the 6-man garden crew outside...nice Meg, good job. I dropped to the floor and hid behind the kitchen island, grabbed the cleaner and a rag and crawled out on my hands and knees back to the bedroom. Talk about a morning show, I hope they don't expect that every day, lol.

Still didn't receive my Chanel order. Every time I check the tracking status, it keeps getting pushed back a day. I ordered it on the 2nd -- so frustrating! I should just stay away from Chanel.com and order it somewhere else. Just wrote an email to corporate -- we'll see if I get any response!

Good to know Nora and Meg, that you are keeping the construction workers motivated to come to work!! LOL!

I bought the quad, ombre perlees and black pearl. The quad is so gorgeous when swatched, nothing chalky about it (international formula too!), but its so sheer when i applied. I'm going to try it with a base or use it wet next time. Hopefully the payoff will be better.

Ugh, another UPS problem? The difference I find is when there's a UPS problem with MAC (and I have had several) they take matters into their own hands and track, resend & recall, whatever it takes to get the package to you in a relatively timely fashion. My one experience like this with Chanel I was on my own dealing with UPS. UPS had inadvertently sent my package clear across the country and then told me they couldn't change the original shipping speed - so what should have been a 2 day trip to me turned out to be a week and a half. You could always order from Neimans or Nordstrom but as long as UPS doesn't mess up I find Chanel.com's shipping (like MAC.com's) to be the quickest by far. That may just be because of where I live though.

^^I agree -- MAC has amazing customer service. One time I ordered a bunch of stuff from them online -- and I accidentally dropped 2 shadows right out of the box and they shattered (but totally my fault). I called and told them what happened -- and they still replaced them. I might have to start ordering my Chanel from Neimans or Nordstrom -- even Macy's has good CS. In the past it has taken 4-5 days to get my order from Chanel.com -- but this one is going on 8 days. Oh well, hopefully it comes soon!

The Neapolitan look sounds beautiful! The vanilla portion of the ice cream is always the biggest, right? I'm craving for some of the ice cream now.

I saw the Guerlain G blush today. It's pigmented, shimmery and the powder feels very fine. But I was good and passed for the time being. I have Deep Throat and it may be sufficient for me.

I haven't been on in weeks! (trying to cut down on my lemmings) Wow you guys have been busy! It's been hard to catch up but I think I finally have.

I really love hearing all the off brand chat from my Chanel gals. I know we have similar tastes so it's great to hear what else everyone is liking.

I do have the GA Spring blush and I LOVE it. I also got 2 of the liners. Now from all your chat I'm kicking myself for not getting the 518 l/s. I may have to crumble on that one! I've been trying not to buy much after my scary Chanel Spring haul. I've even added more to it from CPs. Lucking I love everything. Still need to figure out a way to wear the quint though. Maybe I need a dark base as some of you have tried. Is MAC Blackground my best bet? What are some other great dark bases? I also get to finally try Le Metier de Beaute when my CP arrives! Hopefully soon!

There has been a lot of skincare chat too on here and I found a new line that I'm totally in love with. Isomers. Best thing is they're Canadian too. They had an amazing Lab Direct sale and I got so much stuff I don't even know where to begin with it but I love everything I've tried. I've been wanting to get into DIY skincare forever because I was frustrated by trying to find products with the ingredients I wanted that didn't cost a fortune and nothing ever having all the stuff I wanted. I never had the time to fully commit to researching the DIY stuff so when I found Isomers had products containing ingredients I wanted to try and reasonably priced and a HUGE selection I was in heaven. Now I just need to figure out some sort of routine with it LOL.

Has anyone tried the 100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream? It gets raves no MUA and it's been recommeded to me a couple times so I was thinking of trying it to.

I hope everyone is doing well. I should get off here before you guys make me buy anything else!! LOL

Megan, your story was hilarious! I totally envisioned the whole scene, with you dropping down! and crawling out! I've done that before!

And as if I hadn't put on enough of a show in the morning, at lunchtime I went to the mall with a male co-worker, but we split up. We normally do and meet up at the food court. Well... I was shopping at VS and had a bra, lace undies and a little something for hubby on Valentine's day all in my arms, and doesn't my co-worker show up in the store! He had a good look at everything and gave me a big nod of approval. I don't normally turn red, but my face felt like it was on fire!

Miss QQ, you need to try on Coquette! I love it, and we usually end up liking similar colours!

Oh, and finally, I got my hands on Mighty Aphrodite today! There were quite a few in stock at the store!
