I LOVE my Chanel ladies at Nordies. Got a call before the store opened that the collection had just arrived on the truck and they would be putting it out today. I stopped in and got to play with everything. Here are my thoughts:
This is a beautiful collection with something for everyone.
Eyeshadow quad and duo: Skip for me. I don't wear greens.
Glossimers: All very pretty and very glittery. They are very sheer and for that reason they were a skip for me.
Rose Platine: Very unusual color although I am not sure why it has Rose in the color name. It is a beautiful silvery color. If it has rose in the undertone it is very difficult to see. I passed on this today but may go back for it later.
Nail polish: Mimosa is a very pretty color but I knew instantly that a.) I would have a difficult time wearing this as I am very pale and a bit cool toned and b.) I did not want to spend that much money on something that would sit in a case just so I could say I had the "hot color of the moment". I did see this on ladies who were darker or warmer than me and it was so pretty. Morning Rose is gorgeous. I bought that one.
Bronzers: So gorgeous and user friendly. I bought both. I was also pleasantly surprised that the pans were bigger than I had originally thought they would be. It would take me forever to use these up.

I think I'm going to pass on the glossimers if they're that sheer. Save some bucks toward the new velvets. I may also end up passing on the quad, as I wear greens infrequently, and if I do, I already have several (one of the MAC quads comes to mind - was it Photorealism?) including the recent Peacocky and Mickey Contractor greens....
So I guess for me it will be the eyeliner and the bronzer - maybe both of them (HG, I'm reserving both for you too!) -

Omg I really wawnna see Dior Summer, I think the bronzers might beat Chanel. I ended up getting Bronze Corail, Morning Rose N/P, Aurore glossimer and rose platine. Actually just went back for Mimosa but I haven't played with it yet lol. In case you ar interested on the swatches I posted them here http://bit.ly/ChanelSummer2011 The other bronzer barely showed on me! I was surprised! I kinda wanted both to work for my skin tone oh well. More money for Dior

Thank you!!! Fabulous swatches! You sealed the deal for me on Rose Platine. Now you have me reconsidering AUrore. My SA said it is VERY similar to Coral Love but I have a feeling that it is a lot finer shimmer which I would prefer to the more glittery Coral Love. But I already have it so I don't think I should justify getting any of the Summer Glossimers. I'll try to behave ;-) I was sort of considering Pensie though since she said it was more pigmented.The other bronzer barely showed on me! I was surprised! I kinda wanted both to work for my skin toneoh well. More money for Dior

^^I haven't seen any of the release dates for Dior summer. Now that I read that the Dior bronzer doesn't show up very well, I am thinking it may be a pass for me.
I am dying over the Aurore glossimer now, too. Still wanting Pink Peony glossimer and the rose n/p. I wish I knew if the Rose Bronze would show up on me -- it looks so pretty.

Not me. As far as I can tell from the single review on MUA it looks like it may have been LE from 2007.

It's my experience that pictures NEVER do glossimers any justice. If I went based on photos, I would only own about one instead of the half dozen(possibly more) that I have now. I have to see them in person. I kinda want the eyeliner, but I kinda don't. Between the Sephora F&F, Mac, Nars and the rest of the lip shines that I want I will probably skip this.

That seals it for me - I am getting both bronzers - beautiful colors!
My other Chanel Lady said that they just got this in - so I may go in a day or 2. She said both bronzers are beautiful & show up just fine.

Oh yay -- so glad she said both show up. Are you getting the rose or the coral one?? I am totally getting 2 glossimers, too. Even if they are sheer -- I just love the fine shimmer and they look fabulous over lipsticks!
