Michelle - I wish we had J.Crew here in Canada :( I only shop there when I'm in the US which is usually at least twice a year.
For the gel liner question, I own the ones by Inglot, BB, MAC and Clinique. I would say BB are my favourites and MAC come close. Inglot is nice and they have great colour but they dry faster Have not tried the YSL one.... I tend to use liquid liners a lot more than gel though and my hands down favourite is Lancome Art Liner (I probably have tried at least 15 brands)

Oh and happy birthday :)

Hi,

I have Amour ( and not Malice but I am used to Joues Contrastes ), I think Amour is very matte. Baked blushes are very specific, in my own experience Chanel blushes are really different from all Nars blushes I have. Malice looks gorgeous but clearly it's not matte.

I got this little box from Chanel.com in the mail today. A sample of the Le Blanc products. Fun :)

I love J Crew -- especially with a great sale. I really need to branch out with the gel liners.
Are you going to find out if you are having a boy or girl?? You have some fun shopping to do :)

The Le Blanc samples look great Michelle. Mine haven't arrived yet. And I LOVE that quilt in the background!

^^ I know, it was a fun surprise! Now, just to get the bookmark (I am so demanding!!) Thanks -- I love the colors in the quilt, too. It was on sale at PB for a fabulous price. I got a bunch of fabulously ruffly pillows from Pier 1 also on sale. I know you can sew quilts and can make your own! Lucky :)

Gail -- here is a full shot of the quilt (sorry, totally OT) The sunlight is washing out the colors, but it is cream, robins egg blue, blush pink, olive green and a yellow. Do you make pieced quilts? Do you hand or machine quilt them? My mom makes gorgeous quilts -- wish I had developed that talent!

Oh it's so gorgeous! Thanks for the picture. I do my piecing by machine but all my quilting and applique by hand. I do want to try machine quilting my next one because hand quilting takes so long, but I also find it relaxing. I'm sure your mom would love to teach you how to do it and your girls might find it fun too. It's really not very hard and that's coming from someone who can't otherwise sew to save her life. I learned to quilt from a video about 20 years ago when we were living on the lower east side of Manhattan...not exactly quilt country, lol.

^^ Beautiful! The fluffy pillows look so huggable! The Le Blanc box is great, wish my counters have them too, but I got some samples to try last year.

Oh no! I am late as always!

Happy birthday Michelle! I hope you had a great day with your beloved ones and enjoy your presents (the white box filled with samples by Chanel ... so cute!).

I love love the quilt! My mom does quilting too, she says it is very relaxing. I'd love to learn how to do it, but I am afraid I am not patient enough =P

Hello to everyone. I miss you! I have scheduled the end of my PhD thesis to July so I even busier these days.

Hello Almus! Have anything from the summer collection caught your eye? Are your counters getting the summer collection?

i was trying to find something that is close to malice in my stash...

top Malice JC, bottom MAC fleur power

finish is completely different. malice is more sheer and with some shine to it and mac is matte and way more pigmented

^^ great swatch! I don't have both of them. Which do you like more, or you like both equally?

i think chanel is easier to work with if you like color that is sheer and buildable. it took at least 5 swipes to get this much color from malice. mac is only one swipe. malice has little bit more red in it.

Hi Miss QQ

We are not getting the summer collection yet since the one with the new RC Shines and the three blue nail polishes has been on display for a couple of weeks only. Anyway, that's not an excuse for not writting my wish list

I do love the duo (it will be a great addition to my make up bag in the purse) and Malice JC is gorgeous too! The weird thindg is that lately I've been in a nail polish kick, but I am not really excited by Chanel ones right now

I hope Malice will be released in France too, I have Fleur Power from M.A.C it's very difficult to apply, Malice looks very pretty and ready-to-wear as all Joues Contraste from Chanel.
