Collection Superstition (Fall 2013)

A store near me had some of the collection - the quad, 4 of the blushes, the RCS lipsticks.

To anyone who is thinking about getting the eyeshadow quad, I recommend checking it out in person. I was disappointed. I feel like I have similar colors in other quads and 2 of the shades were so shimmery I'm not sure I could make it work for a daytime look. When I say the colors are similar to other quads....when swatched they may not be identical but on the eyes you couldn't tell the difference. The colors weren't unique enough for me to justify spending $60+ on it.

I didn't bother with the Rouge Coco Shines. I don't care for the formula....even the new more pigmented ones don't last on me and I find them to be drying.

The real star of this collection is the cream blush. I've never worn cream blush before so I was reluctant to try it but they are amazing!!! The store only had 4 colors so there wasn't much diversity...they had Presage and the others were pink. I bought Presage and I can't say enough about about how beautiful it is. Don't let the intensity in the compact fool you, it can be sheered out to look very natural on.

I'm not sure I get a good application of the blush when I use my fingers, do you think the Mac 187 stippling brush would be good for application?
Uh ohhhh ..on the quad :|

Mary Jane, Thanks for the warning on the quad. Did you happen to see the single es or were they not in yet?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, MaryJane!

The quad sounds not very promising.....better skip it then.

Anyone knows what the model is wearing on her lips and cheeks? Prestige and Mystique I suppose. Gorgeous. Chanel fall promo pics always steal my heart.

It does look like it is a warm look, with the peachy/coral lips and cheeks and khaki eyes. And how gorgeous are the earrings. I'm not keen on the quad but I want it to look like the model, lol.

Hasard looks gorgeous in that last swatch photo! I'm pretty certain that isn't Gri-Gri, though and in Cafe Makeup's instagram feed, it was missing from the display as well (replaced with Fauve). Now, of course, I'm dying to see what Gri_Gri really looks like... I'm such a sucker...

I love the look of the polishes, but they also look like dupes of two of the shades from last year (Vertigo and Suspicion) and one from the year before (Peridot)

That's why I passed on Mysterious, I have Vertigo and I only wear it once in a while. I got it for the violet shimmer but it shows as an almost black cream, even in daylight you can only see the shimmer a little bit. Just wasn't what I wanted

Hi, I just bought the 43 Mystere Chanel quad, and it's gorgeous!!!!
It's not the baked formula either, which I'm glad about.
There is no khaki green in any of the shades - the sales lady agreed with me.
The stunning elegant colors are: creamy ivory color (like a frost color) , a light taupe color, a cool (as in not a warm color at all) dark brown color (matte), and a dark brown/black mild shimmered color.
Perfect for a smokey eye! I love it!

It is pretty but I' d rather spend my money for other stuff from this collection. And,of course, on the other

Somehow I'm not interested in the quad anymore. I think I will only pick up Alchimie when this comes out, since the other polishes will be perm (I think?!). And then get Mysterious later. I still have my eyes on the two limited edition RCSs, but I have to see swatches to decide if I need one. I recently bought Saga, now I ordered Nars Biscayne Park and I'm also interested in the Givenchy fall collection lippie, so I intend to be reasonable and not buy too many lip products.
