I wanted to see swatches before buying too but I took the blind plunge w Mystique since it's supposed to be "apricot". I always love any lip color in the coral/red family I just hope it's not too similar to something I already haveI want to look at the lipsticks in person. I don't think I've purchased a Chanel lipstick since the collection with L'Eclatante and La Favorite.
It's part of the Les Delices du Chanel collection. It's the collection that came out a few months ago in Asia. You can purchase the quad and other collection items only from Chanel.com or Saks, but Saks doesn't have everything. You can only get the Delice blush from Chanel.com. I received mine yesterday and it's very pretty. It's part of the new collection . there is a separate thread for it
I'm still undecided about the RCS formula and I'm not sure how the lighter colors will work with my skin tone. I had a Chanel makeover for my birthday and a pale RCS lipstick was used. It looked great! But I'm not sure if it only looked good because a MUA applied it. I could get completely different, possibly horrifying, results on my own.I wanted to see swatches before buying too but I took the blind plunge w Mystique since it's supposed to be "apricot". I love the new Rouge Coco Shines that came out w Avant Première. I never tried the original ones bc I felt they were too sheer but the new ones w 30% more pigment are beautiful! I hear you I have to be careful w light lipsticks too bc I'm super pale lol I can't really go full nude, I need something w more of a lean towards a baby pinkI'm still undecided about the RCS formula and I'm not sure how the lighter colors will work with my skin tone. Saga I think, it's a pretty neutral pink. I really love it and I am NW20 btw. You could also try Idylle from the summer collection, it's a pale peach shade. Candeur is very sheer, it's a permanent one ( regular range ).I love the new Rouge Coco Shines that came out w Avant Première. The blush. I bought the quad in store at Saks when I was there for my makeover. Haven't swatched that yet either.Blush or quad?
Fauve is not part of the collection, rather gri gri. My Neimans had the collection minus the gri gri tester, but they had the products. Gri gri looks similar to fauve.Chanel Fall 2013 Photos on Instagram.. http://instagram.com/p/agp3IVwbdu/ http://instagram.com/p/agqKoOQbeO/ http://instagram.com/p/ag0Ehgwbdb/
I hate using my fingers for creme blush. I like using a normal blush brush like the one by Mac or Real Techniques. You can really control the level of intensity and since I want it to be moderately intense I don't have to work that hard with a blush brush. A stippling brush is good also. That'll give a very natural look. I have a few creme blushes by Mac, but I have a feeling these Chanel blushes will be above and beyond the ones by Mac.A store near me had some of the collection - the quad, 4 of the blushes, the RCS lipsticks. To anyone who is thinking about getting the eyeshadow quad, I recommend checking it out in person. I was disappointed. I feel like I have similar colors in other quads and 2 of the shades were so shimmery I'm not sure I could make it work for a daytime look. When I say the colors are similar to other quads....when swatched they may not be identical but on the eyes you couldn't tell the difference. The colors weren't unique enough for me to justify spending $60+ on it. I didn't bother with the Rouge Coco Shines. I don't care for the formula....even the new more pigmented ones don't last on me and I find them to be drying. The real star of this collection is the cream blush. I've never worn cream blush before so I was reluctant to try it but they are amazing!!! The store only had 4 colors so there wasn't much diversity...they had Presage and the others were pink. I bought Presage and I can't say enough about about how beautiful it is. Don't let the intensity in the compact fool you, it can be sheered out to look very natural on. I'm not sure I get a good application of the blush when I use my fingers, do you think the Mac 187 stippling brush would be good for application?
I guess they just put it in there to fill the space because the earlier photos had only one eyeshadow on display...Fauve is not part of the collection, rather gri gri. My Neimans had the collection minus the gri gri tester, but they had the products. Gri gri looks similar to fauve.
