Rain Blush is LE? I didnt get it with my last order
ColourPop LEs (the holiday stuff being the first time they've had LEs) usually stick around the site for a decent amount of time and they announce last call for items. They give you more than enough time to receive your package, swatch, fall in love, and run back to the computer for your next fix order! Plus I've never seen anything go out of stock, other than the lippies-to-go.

Unlike some other companies...

I was really tempted to bring out Kermit again.

I know it's unfair to compare a company like ColourPop to a well-established brand like MAC, but it's crazy when you compare their last two releases. ColourPop announced the collection, provided swatches on a variety of skintones, and stated the exact release date and time of the collection. We had plenty of time to meander over to place our orders and contemplate our next ones.

Granted I'll always purchase something or other from MAC, but for LE releases, it feels like taking a leisurely walk outside versus running the 100m in the Olympics.

I believe it's exactly what Mac wants. You also didn't see girls buying multiples of colourpop just for backups, reselling, "collecting", or for just in case they changed their mind. People are buying into the hype of the le collections, not so much the makeup itself anymore. I bet more than half of these people buying up these le packaged Mac already have tons of dupes knowingly and buy anyway. It's a genius marketing move that is definitely strategic. Whether or not people will get burned out or it will backfire we will have to wait and see.

So I got my colourpop goodies today. I'm pretty underwhelmed :/. Maybe I'm too spoiled by the pigmentation of my indies that I was expecting more. I tried a synthetic flat brush and my finger over primer and bae was not duochrome for me whatsoever. Just a flat not too pigmented reddish brown. To get it pigmented I had to dig at the shadow which makes me think these won't last as long as most shadows do. I also found that the creamy texture was harder to blend. The blush prenup also didn't show up very well. I used 3 types of brushes and even resorted to using fingers as well. Maybe I'll have better luck with some brighter colors I have coming in my next order. Overall first impression kinda meh, maybe some of you can give me some tips?

I'm also not a big fan of the shadows, because I find it hard to apply to anyplace other than my lid with my finger. The ones I have also have a lot of glitter and fall out and most days I'm not into that. the shades I have are pretty and I try to wear on the weekend. For me the lip products are the star of the brand. I won't bother trying the blushes. I know a lot of girls love all their products so maybe they have some shadow tricks, but just letting you know you aren't alone :)

Good to know I'm not crazy lol! I guess a super pigmented glittery pressed shadow that didn't need a sticky base that also blended like a pressed shadow was too good to be true lol. I'll stick to my indies from notoriouslymorbid, darlinggirl, aromaleigh, and Fyrinnae for my glitter fixes. ;)

Oh no! I find that brushes are pretty hard for the eyeshadow. Since I usually just wear them on my lid, ill put on primer and then my transition color and then pat a little of the CP color onto my lid. Then buff out with a fluffy brush into my crease and that seems to work pretty well.

With the blushes, the only combo that works for me is a small stippling brush to get the product out of the pan and transferred to my face then I use a regular blush brush to blend it into my skin
