Does anyone ever have a hard time with e/s application on just ONE eye?

This has been my problem since forever. I'm right handed so when I do my left eye, the angle is natural for my hand so the eyeshadow application turns out pretty well. However, when I try to do my right eye, it looks so disgusting and ugly.

this is completely normal, on myself and even on customers (their nose gets in the way! i wish i could just remove their nose and velcro it back on).

try doing your more challenging eye first. that way, how ever it turns out, you can try to match it with the other eye, instead of trying to copy the "prettier" eye. trying to copy something great is harder than copying something not-so-great.

Yeah I always have this problem! No matter how hard I try, I always feel like the colour goes up too high on my left eye. I'm suuuper careful with it, so now I'm just beginning to think it's because my left eye is shaped completely differently from my right eye. Still working on it!

I can always do my right eye perfectly but my left one turns out a mess. I am right handed. I try to do what Ernie suggested and do my left eye first. I am glad to know that I am not the only one.

I have a problem making my eyes even in general. I just can't get them to match perfectly!

Great advice. For some reason, I naturally do the prettier eye first.

I'll try doing the other one first. Thanks!

My left eye turns out better than my right eye (even though I'm right handed.) It's mostly a problem when I try to put darker colours in the crease, so I avoid doing that and keep those colours on the lid.
I'm the opposite when it comes to eyeliner though, the right turns out better than the left.

I'm right handed and everything on my left eye turns out better except for the falsies, they are always super duper lifted when i don't want it to be. I guess practice makes perfect!

yeah this happens to me too, I posted something a while back about how I thought my eyes were crooked or one eyebrow was higher because my color always seems to end up higher on one eye, and when I make the color even, it seems like it nearly touches the brow on one side but not the other....frustrating.

OMG lol I thought I was the only one with this problem.
I'm right handed and my right eye always comes out prettier.

I'm still working on fixing it though

Haha, me too!! Typically I have issues bringing out my crease color too far on the left. But I'll try starting there first from now on!

That's what I think with my eyes too! I feel like my left eye must be puffier or the brow is lower, because I can't seem to define a proper crease in that eye! On a different note, I hate my eyebrows, why can I never get them to look the same?!

Yea my eyebrows always look different. That is why I part my bangs to the right so it can cover the uglier brow. Haha.

I have the same problem too, guess its just a matter ofn practice makes perfect. I know my eyeliner application has gotten alot better over time with practice.

I have this trouble as well. But I don't think the problem is application...even though you may not be able to see it on yourself, most people do not have completely symmetrical eyes.

Yea I know I don't have symmetrical eyes but I think it also has to do with application. My hand just doesn't feel natural when I'm doing my right eye because the angle is just so awkward. I think both are factors.

ditto as to the application.. but, if you look at any face in a quartered diagram, each quarter is different. So, no one is not doing anything right!

)

this whole thread is right as nobody is totally symetrical. The only way I have found to apply liner is by doing a "practice" run with pencil which is the easiest medium, then tracing over it with either liquid or gel liners which are not very forgiving of errors

It happens all the time especially defining my brows. The left one always looks perfect but the right one is just #%&#@!
