There's no net as such for eBay. They rely on members reporting auctions in order to do something about them.

Unless they change the way of policing and dealing with counterfeit items and sellers little is going to change.

eBay makes a lot of money out of fakes with very little risk. I doubt eBay will reward anyone who reports fakes.

I got some token appreciation from ebay for my reporting of fake MAC! My mum called yesterday to let me know that a big package had arrived at their address from ebay. Seeing as I knew I hadn't brought anything and sent it there, I asked her to open it, and it was (apparently, I haven't seen it yet!) a pretty black A4 Organiser complete with writing paper, envelopes and pens, all ebay embossed, along with a letter from them thanking me for my contribution and the reporting that I have done for them through the enhanced member reporting.

Yay for ebay recognition!
