everything is soo beautiful! I am tempted to by the quads just for the packaging..The colours of the quad with vanila and pink venus isn't all that. Oh boy..This collection is going to make me extra poor!

I don't think it is that frosty at all. Its like Fleurry blush, which I don't think is that frosty either, but if you think Fleurry is too frosty, then you probably won't like Hipness either. HTH. I took some swatches and I'll be posting them soon!

Here are some clickable thumbnail swatches of Hipness Blush! One is on a white piece of paper, no flash.... the other is on my approximately NC20 skin, no flash... HTH!

I have a feeling the Not So Innocent and Cash Flow will be mine soon...LOL. But I think because I really don't wear bright lippies, or ones with a lot of shimmer in them, I'm somewhat safe! But though IPPs on the other hand.....

I'm even more excited for this collection now. Strawbaby sounds amazing! I can't think of any lipsticks that have had rainbow pearl... I think I'll get Flash-n-Dash, Hipness, Fafi Eyes 2, Rollickin', maybe an IPP, and hopefully a Fafinette doll. Thank you so much for posting the info, makeupmag!

This killed absolutely NO lemmings, haha. I want nearly all of the lip products, both of the quads, 4 p/p's, one blush, one IPB, one n/l, the bags, the brushes, and the dolls. February is going to be one helluva expensive month for MAC.

I wore the Perky paint pot that I picked up on eBay, today. Very pretty color, like a warm coral pink. Looks great with Say Yeah on top of it. The texture is very easy to work with too.

I super love the face powder compacts but am wondering if they will be too dark for me. I'm a pale face, barely a NC15 in Studio Fix. What do you guys think might work for me? Are the face powders glittery and frosty or just some shimmer? Thanks

I got the sassed up IP and there is not much color to it---mainly glitter. When I put it on, all I see is glitter, glitter, and more glitter
;-( . HTH. BTW I am NC25.

I am really looking foward to this. The theme and packaging are so hot. Fafi and MAC are a great pairing. The dolls are to die for!

I think I am most looking forward to some of those Paint Pots. Rollickin' sounds killer. The quads have potential, but I need to see them IRL.

The lipglasses, blushes and powders look great.

I guess my disappointment is in the lipstick formulas. They are all Glazes and Lustres. Meh. Those generally = little or no colour payoff, so I am kind of bummed. I was hoping for one dynamic, pigmented, pop out of all of them.

I guess I can see the strategy behind the lip colours. Fafi isn't about muted subtlety, so they are going for bright colours, but the reality is that wild, deeply pigmented colours won't sell as much. So the happy medium is wild colours, but subtle colour payoff to appeal to the masses.

I understand why MAC does this, but I am disappointed too. I was hoping for vivid spring colors with lots of color payoff as well, like Rocking Chick or Queen's Sin. I'll probably skip quads and lipsticks because of the finishes on these. The paint pots sound wonderful though. I already have Delph fluidline and MAC paint in Matisserie, so I can skip those colors in the Fafi paint pots, unless they are very different. I definitely want need the Cash Flow p/p. The photos I've seen of it look so pretty and perfect for enhancing gold colored eye shadows. The Perky p/p is lovely. I don't have any eye shadow bases in that color, so I'm really glad to have this in my collection.

Sweetness! I can't wait to try it out with Orange Tangent, Gleam... I wish I had Say Yeah! Thanks for the preview review (haha...eeeehh...cheesy humour, couldn't help myself).

I can see that, but I do wish there was one or two really "pop" colours in the quads or the lipsticks. Rocker Chick didn't have much problem selling, I'm sure more because of the Barbie theme than the colour, but the theme brings out the spirit in someone to buy such a colour and finish, right? Having one great bold lipstick and shadow wouldn't kill the collection.

Ah well. I'll just show more love to the paint pots then!

I agree with you, MAC-Whore, on seeing the quads in real life. At first when heard about them, I wasn't all that thrilled, but after seeing the descriptions, they kind of grew on me. Well, actually, I thought that Fafi Eyes 2 was hideous, but now I think it has potential! But then (there always is) I see the pictures and the colors look so different in different lights. And now that I'm thinking of dying my hair dark brown, instead of the usual auburn, I'm thinking that Fafi Eyes 1 has potential!! grrrrrr :grrr: I just don't want to miss out on this and then end up paying way over retail for this when I do decide that I want it!

I'm liking the shade descriptions. I think I already have 2 of the paint pots (Girl Friday & Layin Low) so I'll probably get 2 additional.

I'll need to.. see the collection in real life for sure.
But for now, I definitely know what I want. =)

If the colors aren't as bright as I'm imagining them to be.. then maybe I will save a lot more money than I thought.

Urgh.. The colors of the lipsticks do look nice, but if it's gonna have little or no color payoff, then i doubt i'll be getting them except for maybe just one or two cos of the packaging.
