I remember having a look at the Murano quad just after I had gotten Photo realism and felt it was a bit more blue based. I prefer PR because it has that nice goldish shade that I use to warm up the colours.

I called yet another Bay counter today and they told me August 9th as well. But this one I know the MA so she put me on the waiting list and will call me as soon as they receive the products so I can play with the displayers and choose what I want right away

I'm not too upset about getting this collection late anymore. It's still summer so I will enjoy my brights. The time for dark and smokey shades will come soon enough, and we both know how long Canadian winters are

Hi Birgit - here is a comparison - Nora is spot-on - Murano is cooler toned, but the darkest shades of both are almost identical. These swatches are over UDPP.

Photorealism on the left, Murano on the right.

Murano has similar blue-green colors as the mid- and deep colors. The highlight color is definitely pinky, and the other light color is a cooler, minty green.

And even though one of the colors in the PR quad looks pink here, it's very gold (it's captured better in the side-by-side photo above). I'm thinking maybe you have PR, so you probably know, but I wasn't sure.

Wow, Murano is more blue than I remember! Just the other day I was thinking about my photo realism quad, I started panicking because I thought I may have placed it in my "to sell" bin when we were packing, only because I really purged my collection and I was in a "i'm sick of green" mood at that time. But I hadn't, it was actually packed in my "Top drawer" make-up box, which was filled with my favourite items and placed in the top drawer I claimed entirely as my own for my most-used make-up!!!

I know, doesn't it. Its our huge weakness & I don't care. If I eat the cheesecake, I just make myself run another lap on the treadmill. I think thats fair

Well, that salad sounds good too.

I just pulled out my printed page of the makeup look on the models using the Taupe duo & that light blue nail polish & now I'm anxious for everything again. Love that blue nail polish...but will it look weird on me

I'm sure you could pull it off with no problem whatsoever

And definitely a fair tradeoff for the cheesecake!

or the cheesecake.

We enjoy eating at the Cheesecake factory too. I LOVE their soups, even though it is a portion size for like 3 people.

I've decided that I'm getting the Taupe gris single as well, as long as there's a bit of purple to it. I think it'll look really pretty with Silage (sp?).

I am normally in a lot of trouble as a lot of English and French native speaker cannot pronounce it

I am really looking forward to Amethyst, I decided to get it after your gorgeous FOTD.

When Murano came out I swatched it and decided against it and for the PR quad.
It's always so weird to see that your quads have the eyeshadows pans square and not round.

Hubs got me some gift certificates for . . . what else -- make up! lol He knows me so well. Now, to trim down my Chanel list. How on earth do I do that?

I wore Legende today (still using that sample) with MAC Wonderstruck lustreglass and love the combo!
Lunch was yum -- I had the Luau salad and then I decided on the Lemon Raspberry cheesecake and it was fabulous. I about died when I looked at the calorie content

The Cheesecake Factory portions are ridiculous! I make DH share, even though he'd rather have his own! Hmm, maybe today should be a double workout day??
And note to self: do not wear 4 inch heels around town. My feet are killing me, but what is a 4'11" girl to do??
OK, off to see what I want to buy next -- it should take me like 5 minutes to use those giftcards online

Birgit -- can't wait to hear how you like Amethyst and your other goodies!

Darn it -- Macy's online doesn't have any of the fall collection on there. DH got me a giftcard from there for our Anniversary since we don't have a Chanel counter here (too bad he didn't order a giftcard from Chanel.com). Maybe I'll hang on to it and see if it appears on their website.
From the permanent line -- do you ladies like Rose Sand or Wild Rose better??

I just tried Paradoxal, and O. M. G. It comes out my most favoritest color in the world. I'm definitely getting another, maybe two. I don't think I can live without it.

Hoo boy, that's a tough one.....personally I think I like Rose Sand better, but not by a lot. That probably doesn't help much does it?

I like the looks of Rose Sand in the pics I've seen. I was so excited to use my giftcards -- but Mac'y's doesn't even have Rose Comete online -- what is up with that? Grrrr I think I'll end up getting Rose Sand and Mica -- I'll have to see if they have Exquise (since Cheryl is such a hot mama with that shade on!).

Rose Sand is lighter and more sparkly than Wild Rose. For me, Wild Rose is a MLBB gloss.

Thanks for the great pics and swatches! I skipped PR because I just bought Murano but I swatched PR and thought it looked more gold.

I didn't think Murano is so blue too until I see the pics here!

It is smoky grey green on me. My friend has the quad and she actually calls it the blue quad, and now I know why.

Exquise has become one of my favourite lipsticks, I personally prefer it over Comete, but that's because Comete goes quite purple on me. Exquise is super pretty with Seashell glossimer over it.
