Did anyone pick up the Inimitable (sp?) mascara in Rouge Noir from the Nordies sale? I preordered one but havent picked it up yet.

I forgot to mention...I got my Izzy's order already! It arrived so quickly, I was totally shocked to see the box.

Super RA l/s is omgpink on me and I LOVE it. I put it on right away and I have to say...of all the bright pinks I have, this is probably my new favorite. Sometimes with my lip color bright pinks turn more magenta or raspberry toned even (which I also love, but not when I want a true pink!), but not this one! It's a gorgeous PINK pink and a really happy, face brightening color. I'm so thrilled I was finally able to get my hands on it.

I'll wear it today with my Love To Love MES from ITG, Cassis liner and Pink Explosion. PS and BTW...can't believe how much I love my items from ITG!

Heidi was looking for it, but it looks like we will not be getting it this side of the pond. A while ago I tried the UD in Cherry (I think) and although the mascara did nothing for me, the colour made my green-brown eyes pop.

Hey ladies!! I finally popped my Chanel cherry with Taupe Gris and the Enigma quad - I couldn't resist them, they're stunning!! What type of colors are you pairing Taupe Gris with? I am mainly a MAC girl so I have almost every MAC color under the sun. I plan on wearing it today, but for some reason I'm at a loss as to what to pair it with. Any ideas from you lovely ladies??

YAY! Check out Temptalia's blog and Makeupandbeautyblog -- they have both done tutorials on how to wear the Enigma quad. Haven't gotten it yet, but it is on my list!

Oh, that sounds so pretty, and I'm glad a) your package came, and b) you LOVE Super!!!! I'm really happy for you!! I check that site from time to time, but hadn't seen Genial and Super there yet - I guess like CCOs, it takes them a bit to get stuff in. At any rate, yay that it was a good experience and you found a new pink lippie to love!!!

I love my ITG stuff too! Wow, I've been having so much fun with it - today was a MAC day for me - I broke out some oldies but goodies: Bateau, Innuendo, Motif and Hush for the eye, and Call My Bluff (Shontay is right about this one!! I am shocked how much I like it!) and Easy Lounger lips, and Happy Together cheeks. So many options, so LITTLE time!!

Kelly!! Congrats on your first Chanel purchase! You picked some good ones. I haven't used my Enigma quad yet, but have used Taupe Grise quite a bit. It is quite versatile - it will go with browns, pinks or with purples, or as a nice contrasting crease color with lighter shadows paired with it. MAC colors I would pair it with would be Cranberry, Shroom, Naked Lunch, Beautiful Iris, Expensive Pink, Grain, the list goes on and on. I think you'll be very surprised how you can make this go with anything. You've made me think about some options I might try in the coming days!

Do you ladies have any good tips on how to capture good angles/make up detail with a camera? I was playing around with my camera this afternoon. Nice that I forgot to brush the fallout away from my eye LOL!

Sorry for so many pics -- I am just trying to figure out how to take decent makeup shots!

On the lips: Chanel Maldeves Aqualumiere lipstick and Chanel Colibri Aqualumiere gloss (I lined and filled in the lip with MAC Subculture liner)

On the eyes: Chanel Inimitable Noir Obscur mascara (loving this sample I just got), MAC Vanilla pigment in duct, Tilt on mid eye, and Plumage on outer V/Crease, Soft Brown to blend out crease. UD black liner in Zero on waterline -- Loreal Liquid Intense on upper lashline -- Plumage/Tilt under lower lashes. MAC "Peaches" on cheeks (I need some Chanel blushes!!)

**I tried the Chanel eye makeup remover and am *loving* it. Thank you Elegant for recommending it! It gets all makeup off with no oily residue. Love!!

It is great remover. I don't think I could ever use anything else, especially as a contact lens wearer.

That pics is really pretty! Well they all are, but I loved how your shadow looks. And, darn....your lower lashes look soooooo long

I think you did a GREAT job on the photos! I'm so envious! I just haven't figured mine out yet - these look fabulous. I love the look - Plumage looks wonderful on you - mine doesn't get enough love because I have a hard time with it - yours looks amazing!

And I like that lip combo - I haven't heard of Colibri - the combination is gorgeous!

Thanks ladies -- it is strange because in person I felt like my makeup looked really dramatic, but in the pictures, all of the detail doesn't show. Not sure quite how to capture that

I have been getting much better pics when I started using the Macro (flower) setting -- it helps a lot with the close ups.

Elegant -- I snagged a sample of the eye makeup remover with my last order (where you get to choose 2) and now I am in love

with it. I need to get me the full size soon!

It is really super shiny when you first put it on, which I love for summer, but it doesn't last long (bummer). It is very sheer -- pretty much just a top layer over a lipstick.
I can only get Plumage to work when I blend it into a frosty/shimmery shadow (I usually end up using it in the outer V with shadows like Smoke and Diamonds, Steamy, or Tilt). Otherwise it is a tricky one blend!

I have the same issue with the detail - I don't know if I have that macro setting on my goofy little camera....my husband is the photographer in the family, I should probably ask him!

Thanks for the pic of Calibri - it is really pretty - and I can see what you mean by the sheerness - I think that's the major issue with the AL glosses - you get 'feel' in place of longevity.

- I too have to get the full-size bottle, but I'm opting instead for the Mousse Douceur for my next purchase (not sure if I spelled that right!). But it is definitely on my list!

So a Chanel related story to share with all of you! So this morning my cell phone went off, but I was late getting to it. DH asked me who it was and I looked up at him with a guilty smile. The number showed up as the department store where I usually get my Chanel stuff from, and I'm not on file at any other counter at the store (no, not even MAC!), so I knew it was the Chanel counter. So not one to lie, I told him who it was, but honestly didn't know why they would be calling. Naturally, I thought it had something to do with the fall collection & got all excited thinking it was out early! So i played it cool for a bit, but as soon as he was occupied, checked the message. Nope, no fall collection yet, just a weekend promo for lip products!!! Oh well, but boy did I have to go on the defensive with DH! (Made me swear I had nothing on order!).

I *love* the Chanel samples! I wish I could get my hands on more of them. It took me forever to figure out how to change my avatar -- I can be so technically challenged LOL
Yep -- probably no more Auqualumiere glosses for me (much prefer the glossimers). But I to like the AL lipsticks!
