Hi girls!

Just had to check in before I call it a night - I just got home from work (ok, and a cocktail hour afterward) so I'm pooped. It's so much fun to catch up!

Elegant, I guess that makes you our, what do you say, source?

Chanel needs to figure out where their sales are coming from and give us some comps!

Yesterday I only used the two colours from the duo (really lazy) and lined with Almost Noir (did not find another dark liner fast enough). The light colour as highlight is a bit shimmery (normally I wear Blanc Type, same colour as my skin), but it works for day. The liner was not really a good match though.

And is it closer to the MAC or the MUFE Aqua liners (do not work on me)?
I just have a few of the normal Chanel liners, the ones made of wood.

Hi Birgit - Cassis has been my go-to liner since I got it - I have seldom worn anything else, and must get a backup.

I have used it on my waterline with some success, but the 'whole' waterline doesn't stay all day on me - my eyes tend to tear when I am wearing my contacts, so I don't have as much luck with waterlining as some do, and don't do it often.

I do not find Chanel liners similar to either MUFE or MAC, though I'm not sure I could tell you why. For me, though I use the MUFE liners, they seem to be a bit more stiff. MAC liners, though I have lots of them, are not always the ones I reach for, and tend to do so only if I need more out-of-the-ordinary colors, or they're the first ones I come to in my pencil box. I do have some fave MAC colors, like Wolf, but don't 'search them out'.

My favorites are UD 24/7 liners, and my 3 Chanel liners in Cassis, Espresso, and Velveteen (which is an old color). Lately with Cassis I've been using an angled brow brush to smoke the color out. It's just the perfect versatile color IMHO!!

- oh well, the quads are a must! I bought Mystic Eyes when I couldn't get Kaska Beige. It and Demure are what I reach for when I can't take the time to put a look together and need something neutral......

Thanks, Michelle - I am doing much better now - everyone's support has been great, and very uplifting. Even though I may have a bit of a roller coaster ahead, I'm just taking things one day at a time.

I am so sorry to read the news about Hercules Cheryl. I can definitely relate. Glad you are feeling better and are taking it one day at a time.

I read a bit about Pink Cloud on MUA the other day. One person says it's much lighter than Narcisse (that would pretty much equate to invisible imo!) yet another says she's NC20 and it shows up on her:

I am NC20 and I have Narcisse, which I use it to layer with another blush because it doesn't show up well on me by itself. I'm hoping Pink Cloud is not invisible, and I guess it may be better used for layering with another blush too. Makes a note to compare both JCs at the counter.

But, was it the same PC, or one in a different kind of Chanel blush called PC? I will go back re-read them to see. PC is just being launched as a JC Fall 2010 - & I'll bet it could be different.

EDIT: Those were not that comments that I read. The ones I read came up in a google search for MUA & they were by people that already owned it? Either that or I am losing my mind. I'll see if I can find them again in my search.

But yes, it sounds verrrry pale.

^^Yep, they start the conversation by saying "Chanel Fall includes an Asia-exclusive joues contraste, Pink Cloud 66" and then go on to discuss it. One person who saw it is from Australia, and the other is from Malaysia. I assume it must already be at some counters there or their MAs at least let them peek at it. I have PM'd with one of the posters before re Chante and did write to ask if it was already released by her so I'll let you know.

I do not have 4L, but I have 6L, which is the same type of purple (same tone) but Cassis is matte and deeper/more black. MUFE 6L is lighter and has sheen.....

It's bizarre - Chanel releases both Irreelle and JCs under the same name, but I don't think they're the same formula blushes. I don't know why they do that. If you look on their site, in the Deja Vu section, there are Irreelles with the same names as JCs, and if you do a Google shopping search on any particular color, you have to make sure which one it is......

geesh, I would join you in a heartbeat for cocktail hour

your 'source' (like in a back alley passing out Chanel samples to my addicts)

- that would be sooo cool eh? I'm def. going to spend more time getting info out of this guy. I never really paid a lot of attention to him until lately. He gave me HUGE sample jars of the new line repair stuff & is really nice/vocal <----

every time he sees me. Its about an hour 10min. from me, so I don't see him too much...but that may change

Thanks for the comparison of Cassis and 6L. 4L is not as black so I am justified for buying Cassis, I guess. Cassis may swatch more plum on me though, since I'm slightly more warm tone rather than cool.

ok, well now that makes more sense - thought I was losing it

So, the JC will actually be a different formulation then.

Cassis is beautiful. I do wear mine on the waterline & it stays pretty well.

Just different formula since it's the same description for Pink Cloud JC and Pink Cloud IB at MUA: subtle pink with slight peach tone.
