Just had a look and I agree, love that packaging. It's been a while since MAC came out with packaging that's a little more grown up and not tacky! I may have to get a couple items.

As for Chanel, I have yet to try out so many items that i've picked up over the last couple of months. Still have tried out two of the three new glosses, Rose Dilemma and the Vert Khaki single from the fall collection (that was the name right, or do I just have khaki on the brain?!).

I'm super excited though for Khaki Rose! And the Essie polish in Merino Cool looks really pretty too!

I know, I completely skipped the MAC FF collection and most likely will skip the VV. I have been spending too much time on this board

I think the Tartan collection is the only one that interests me from MAC.
There are still quite a few things from the Chanel perm line that I want, let alone all of the LE things

I really do think one day my husband is going to hold an intervention for me LOL

I'm pretty sure my husband is close to setting up a support group for husbands of make-up junkies! As we walked out of the bank the other day to sign our new mortgage, he turned to me and said "it would've been a lot less if you didn't spend so much on make-up"!!! As if! There are soooo many other things I could've and would've spent my money on!

Hi ladies!! I hope everyone is having an awesome weekend.

I'm struggling with the Soho Collection!

I love Steel, I have to get that...but I'm SO unsure about everything else! The l/s swatch looks brown and gross (like every other lip swatch on the site, lol). The new RAL could be awesome or terrible on me. I think I really like the quad, but I find it so hard to bite the bullet and order quads without swatches. Argh...

I'm really not that interested in MAC's VV collection (minus a few items) but Tartan Tale will be emptying my wallet. Add that future haul to what I know I'll be wanting from Chanel's holiday collection, NARS and Dior and it's scary...maybe I should just grab Steel and be happy to walk away with more money for later things?

Decision time!

Took the plunge and ordered Steel np from SOHO collection!

I really do not have a color like this shade!...and the free shiping code sweetened the deal for me. Can't wait until Vert Khaki

to show up on the site! After these two polishes, I will be on a polish no-buy until I wear the new shades I have and will have (postive thinking going on here for Vert Khaki!), including a couple of the new MAC ones and Studded (still haven't worn that one)...

I can tell you Im more calmed now that I ordered Steel...LOL...no more worring about ordering it, or having the thoughts of "should I or shouldn't I"

On another note, I have on last year's Chanel hit from Fashion Night Out, Jade

, to celebrate these new colors coming out! Still looks good after 7 days on the nails...top coat is key with Chanel polishes I find!

I so agree with you on what u said! MAC's VV collection doesn't really excite me all that much (the colors of the lipsticks...eek!)...that's a good thing though I think for me right now...I don't need another lipstick or gloss at the moment. When I first saw swatches of the nail polishes last month, I thought I would just get those...now not so sure of them. and Tartan tale...OOoh! Haven't seen any info about Chanel's holiday collection, as Im pretty new to the brand, other than a few Chanel np I own...

Hi ladies!! I had the most fun and excitement reading all you going nuts to order Soho!!

I think I should call and ask when this is coming. I don't want to be without:

The quad,
Steel,
and maybe the lippies!!

Steel has jumped into my list too.

I have Tulip Noir and I agree that Strong reminds me of it! If they are close I will skip Strong because honestly, I'm bored of Tulip Noir. I see the shade very often on many women.

I swing by my usual counter today and surprisingly, we have the new glosses! The whole collection was up!

Everything look amazing - I'm such a lippies addict! I bought Liberte, Confidence, Insolence and Rose Insolent np. So we know Liberte is Asia exclusive, and it actually replaces Impertinence, so we also have 9 glosses only. And besides Confidence, Fatale is LE for us too. I may go back for Fatale soon before it sells out, and I love Exces too, so I'll pick it up the next time. I may also be buying Rose Confidentiel np and some of the lipsticks!

Well don't hold me to it, but since items that were ordered Friday have already shipped my guess is that you may very well be able to see swatches before things sell out.

In the meantime you might as well order Steel with the free shipping code just in case - I'd think the nps will go before the lip products or the quad. I understand your dilemma. Luckily I don't want anything from any of the other collections you mentioned, probably not even Chanel holiday (with the possible exception of Magnolia RC depending on how it looks in swatches).

Liberte looks very different from Genie. Genie is sheer, bright coral while Liberte is sheer, pink peach. It reminds me of Petite Peche, and it is closer to Imaginaire than Genie. However, the MA took Genie for me instead of Liberte and luckily I checked at the counter before paying for my items.

I really love Fatale and I find it different enough from Exces to have both; Fatale is a deeper truer red. Emoi looks so similar to Exces on Karla's arm that I don't know if it's worth having both of those tho. Maybe it's just her pic?

I went to the mall yesterday to treat myself to some goodies after my rough week and somehow ended up at Chanel

. I ended up finally purchasing Rouge Noir RC. I tried it on at the counter and it's such a gorgeous vampy shade. As the SA was applying it to my lips, quite few ppl stopped by and complimented me on how great this shade looked on. So I ended up buying it and finally fulfilled that lemming

. I really hope once my tan fades away this shade doesn't make me look gothic, lol! Right now with my tan it looks awesome!

Oh, and the SA at my counter had never hear of the Khakis nail polishes

. Did any of the Canadian girls ask about this collex at their counters? Is it perhaps a Holts limited collection? I'm too lazy to go all the way to Holts downtown...i really hope my counter gets it and my SA was just misinformed.

^^ Don't worry about Rouge Noir RC. You can apply it lightly and sheer it out to an almost MLBB shade if you want to, same with Ballet Russe -- the RCs are amazing!
