I love hearing all your funny stories, it's good to know I'm not alone! Except when I do it, the result is personal injury! I used a toner once with salicylic acid in it instead of my eye make-up remover. Oh my did that hurt!

Coconut, I checked my tube of Retin-A and it is .025%, which I'm pretty sure is the lowest strength. Definitely go for one with a cream base instead of a gel.

Um, Karin, Elegant... the two of you talking about Anthropologie made me decide to have a look at the site. That wasn't a good idea! I'll be good for now because I've definitely over spent on make-up, but I'm ordering one cardigan! And this after my j.crew package just arrived with two cardigans in it!

Oh how nice it would be if we could actually spend a day shopping together!

I haven't hit up J. Crew lately, but fortunately I have a gift card to use, so no money out-of-pocket. Yay!

All of this talk/info about Retin-A is great, I really love this thread for so many reasons. Anyway, I used Philosophy's Help Me retinol night treatment a while back. I didn't have any irritation/flakies/redness at all, but I also didn't really see or feel any noticeable difference in my skin. Maybe I didn't use it for long enough, I know they say retinol takes a while of continued use to kick in.
th_dunno.gif

At any rate, I'm thinking of trying another version and my eyes are sort of set on Dermadoctor's Poetry in Lotion. Apparently it's much more potent, and should be started out only at night (as the sole product after cleansing), every other night or even less. I have zero experience in the brand but this product sounds like a powerhouse. Any of you tried this or anything else from the brand?

Here's a link to the product: Sephora: Dermadoctor POETRY in Lotion: Aging

Haven't heard of that product, but let us know how it goes if you get it. I was thinking of trying the Help Me product at some point. It's probably true that you need to use it for a while, especially if you are using a lower strength product.

Does anyone love the JC rose scent? I personally love the smell of a new JC.

The scent fades after a while and becomes hardly noticeable.

Awesome haul dear!! Loved the pic!! I couldn't stop staring at it, although I have most of the goodies there!! How addicted am I??

There are two eye rollers: Eye Tonic and Ultra Correction Total Eye Revitalizer (this one comes with eye patches). Both are the greatest thing ever when it comes to dark circles. The one with the patches it's more effective, but it's a treatment not meant for daily basis. They saved my life during my college and PhD years. Highly, highly, highly recommend them.

Great! Found a lover of the JC rose scent! I wish the blush smells that good forever too.

I have very dark eye circles and the rollers and patches sound amazing. I've seen them at the counter but I think they are pricey. Probably I'll buy them when I decided to spoil myself or do an impulse purchase when I'm in a lousy mood. Or I will buy them for an intensive treatment when I have a special occasion, like my wedding or something.
lol.gif

I wore Legende today and love it.
heart.gif
It is a little bolder than what I would wear everyday, such as Mademoiselle and Gardenia, but it is that perfect in between of pink and red.

I love the rose scent too! Love just aboutt anything to do with roses, rose prints, rose scents, even food with rose flavouring!

DH bought me two dozen roses on mother's day, half cream coloured half coral. They were stunning!

I have yet to wear Legende, was one of the first Rouge Coco's that I bought, love the colour but afraid to wear it!

Glad to hear a review on these products! So you've tried them both? What is the difference between them and just how pricey are they?

You know, I'm not sure if Chanel has more than one kind of eye patch, but I'm pretty sure I've read really good reviews on them somewhere...maybe Makeup Alley? I think they are really expensive and you don't get that many, so definitely good before vacations, weddings, or other events. I wonder if the eye roller on it's own might be a better option for everyday use? I think I've read reviews on that one too, but most people said it was useless. But you always have to take reviews with a grain of salt!

I can't make up my mind on the BB TSV! I want the eye palette, don't care for lip palettes, the gloss and the gel liner are plusses...hmm. I think I'm gonna pass, but I really, really, don't want to.
lol.gif

By the way, loved your skincare favorites on the new blog! I've been thinking about trying that Neutrogena serum for a while now. How long did it take for you to notice any results? Any irritation/redness or flakies? They're having a full one hour show on QVC today with new items from that line as well, I'll be checking it out...and I'll probably order at least something to try, lol.

Do any of you have Arlequin or Maline Glossimers? I'd love to hear what any of you think of either.

To those who have Mythic already...do you think MAC's Boy Bait would work as the gloss topper? If not, any suggestions? I tend to like creamy glosses for nude lips, but I'm not opposed to sparkles!!

I'm already mentally putting together my Vegas make-up kit and I'm SO bummed about missing Super. Between now and then I'll have to find another bright pink to fill that hole...bummer, more shopping.

The patches are pricey and yes, they're meant as a special occasions treatment or as a weekly cure.

If you decide to get them, you won't regret it.
nonono.gif
Believe me.
thmbup.gif
If I had to pick two items from the skincare line, hands down they would be the Solution Dessestresante and the Ultra Correction Total Eye Revitalizer. Best skincare purchases I've ever done. As I said they saved me big during my college and graduate school, when I used to have around 2-3 sleep hours a day.

Yes I have tried them both!!

Eye Tonic:
It's roller eye serum. It's really refreshing and instantly brightens up the eye area. It's for daily use and if I remember correctly, it costs the same as the Beauté Initiale Eye cream. It's very much alike the Granier one, except for the part this one really works. When I got the Garnier one, I felt ripped off... I wasted money.

Ultra Correction Total Eye Revitalizer:
It's a pack of eye patches (10) that comes with a mini eye roller. It's like the Eye Tonic, but with steroids. You must apply the roller generously before putting the patch on then wait like half an hour or what ever you want and then peel them off. You'll be left with amazingly bright and rested eyes. I've even used them once I cried until I sleep... you'd imagine my eyes in the morning. Won't tell you I was left like nothing happened, but they definitely and noticeable improved my eye area.

I don't remember exactly how pricey they were, but must tell you the eye roller they come with has last me up to 6 months. Once you're out of patches, you can use the "mini" roller as an eye serum for a long time. So I feel it's a good investment.

There were another eye patches from Chanel, but they were discontinued when the Total Eye Revitalizer were released. They didn't come with a roller and it was also a pack of 10.

Hope I helped. If you have further questions, don't hesitate asking.
