I will get the LE things first. I am feeling stressed, so for me that means shopping . . .

I believe it is permanent - I see it everywhere I go.

I've decided not to get Maline for now - I can live without another sheer gloss in favor of getting one of the duos that should be out soon. That is, if they swatch well. I really like the single shadows that I have (I have 3) as the colors are beautiful as is the texture. I hope the duos live up to my expectations. I say this because I'm getting a bit more 'discerning' in my shadow purchases (I have a gazillion shadows that say otherwise
cutey.gif
) and I'm finding I am using my MUFE shadows more and more (along with MAC and UD). If I'm not using a Chanel quad, or a Dior quint, I'm using single shadows from other brands.

I also swatched the new single colors (Elegant referred to Heather Rose - I think that's the name) - I didn't get a lot of color payoff on my hand when I swatched these (twice - once at the Chanel boutique in Boston, and again at Macy's last weekend). The colors are pretty - they're more subdued, all matte - but they just weren't doing it for me.

JMO - probably good that I can divert funds to the fall collection

Heather Rose looks pretty online but I know the Chanel online swatches stink. I'm looking for subdued and lighter shades, though, so it might be just what I'm looking for. Would you say it's more of a pink or a rosy brown like MAC Haux?

I can't wait to hear about the duos -- from the looks of them, I want at least 3 of them
smiles.gif
I hope they have good color payoff!
Shypo -- how do you store all of your single shadows? Mine are getting out of control . . . yet I feel like I need more quads in my life!

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

I got my Magnifique a couple of years ago, and it's still around. So for the time being, I'm pretty sure it's permanent.

I used Riviera n/p on my toes last night. It's really pretty, a happy pink as Elegant described it and it's just a touch more muted than most hot pinks, so it's more of a bright pink, if that makes sense! It also applied beautifully.

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

I guess the upcoming duos are going to be something a little different as they are shown on Nordstrom as "OMBRES CONTRASTE DUO EYESHADOW DUO - POWDER AND CREAM POWDER" and in other pics you can see they include both a brush and sponge applicator. Forgive me if this has already been discussed, I haven't kept up with this thread very well lately. Too bad the page on Nordstrom won't display yet.

It's definitely a rose, close to Haux (which I LOVE) but maybe a shade deeper. What really struck me is that they all look like fall colors (nothing wrong with that, but seems a bit early) and by contrast, the fall collection looks very spring/summer. Wonder if they're in the southern hemisphere?

I have to say that mine are out of control too - which is probably why I reach for MAC and MUFE - they're in palettes (except for the last few MAC collections - I haven't taken the time to depot them yet). I use a rolling cart that I got at Staples to store my 'most used' stuff in - I clearly need to get rid of some things - probably by way of my son's girlfriend and my neice

Sounds pretty! I go for my pedi today and I'm ready for summer pink!!!

I hope they have something as pretty!

Scatterbrained is ok. Most of my life is scatterbrained bliss! If you get an opportunity, that's great! I just did a new post this morning - I'm really enjoying it!

Camnagem, I have Arlequinn from last year's fall venice collection. But I have not used it.
lol.gif
It looks like golden goodness. I bought it because I wanted to find a backup for Goldlight, but I believe Arlequinn is more creamy and hence opaque.

Today I wore Bikini Peach. It didn't wow me on its own but when I layered Marjorca aqualumiere l/s before topping with BP, I liked the slightly rosy peach pink effect. I'll be experimenting it with different lipsticks. That's how I like to wear my lipglosses.

The patches are pricey and yes, they're meant as a special occasions treatment or as a weekly cure.
yes.gif
If you decide to get them, you won't regret it.
nonono.gif
Believe me.
thmbup.gif
If I had to pick two items from the skincare line, hands down they would be the Solution Dessestresante and the Ultra Correction Total Eye Revitalizer. Best skincare purchases I've ever done. As I said they saved me big during my college and graduate school, when I used to have around 2-3 sleep hours a day.
ssad.gif

You must be very motivated and disciplined!
thmbup.gif
It must be exhausting to sleep only 2-3 hours. Someday, maybe, I'll further my studies.
winks.gif
But not until PhD.

But still, I can always use some good eye cream. Thanks for the description of the eye roller and patches! I tried Eye tonic at the counter on my hands and it felt good, very luxurious, like it had some effect.
lol.gif
I also tried the Garnier one but like what you said, it didn't feel like anything at all.

I had a sample of the eye patches without the roller, I think maybe it was the one that was discontinued. It felt good too! After I peeled the patches off, my undereyes felt soothed, smooth and supple. It brightened my undereyes and the fine lines disappeared.

I LOVE the Sheseido eye cream - I put it on at 6:30 this morning, and I still feel it at almost 3:30 - it lasts all day!

This eye cream is popular in my country because it is a Japanese brand. It gets a lot of raves here. I wanted to buy it at some point but didn't. Maybe this will be the next eye cream I purchase. Thanks for sharing.

And I'm so excited! The Orient Extreme collection has launched at only two of the Chanel counters in my country! It was launched today and I just got to know it and immediately called to have one of each item reserved for me.
yahoo.gif
I will pick them up tomorrow. Definitely be buying Illusion D'or, and maybe the eyeshadow/eye liner palette. Anyone of you have Gold Lame? How does it compare to Gold Fiction? I have Gold Fiction and wonder if I need Gold Lame. As for Black Velvet, I will decide once I see it. If it is very matte, then no.

I may have to try that eye cream. I used to use MACs new one but its so heavy. One of our resident MA here posted a while back that if you use too heavy/creamy/thick of an eye cream, that it cause tiny white like pimples around the eye area. It begins with an "M"...can't remember the name. Mac's ec did that to my skin
ssad.gif
so I stopped using it & my skin cleared up.

Elegant -- is it called Milia? I have noticed I have gotten some of those around the eye area. I didn't realize it could be from eye cream
th_dunno.gif
Hmm, I need to start shopping for a new brand!
I also wonder if it can be caused from eye makeup removers??

Yes - thats it! Well, I have wondered about eye makeup remover too. When I switched to Chanels remover my eye skin felt better & it helped my eyelashes.

Miss QQ, thanks so much for all the links you provide for us on this thread! Seeing some of the products still to come will make me budget more carefully!

Did everyone notice the pastel blue nail polish on some of the looks posted by Miss QQ. I loooove it!
