Thanks Miss QQ for all of the new news!! I will have to check out the new duos, but I'm still sort of
noworry.gif
about them. I like the idea of the pigmentation, and they are very pretty color combos, but if the cream creases, it's not such a great deal given the price.

I'm happy to hear about the mousse! I've been a fan of Philosopy's Purity for so long I doubt I will switch, but never say never, right?

I'll be glad when they settle in on a date for launch so folks can get what they want. I would love to see the quad and JCs out in the next couple of weeks
graucho.gif
......MAC has some interesting things coming in the fall, so it's always nice to be able to pace oneself
greengrin.gif
.

stv578, did you get Imagination or Desirable yet? Those are very pretty pink RAs......

April, welcome back! We do tend to have flurries of activity, don't we?
winkiss.gif

Elegant, I know what you mean - I tend to miss you guys too.....it's been a busy weekend trying to find 'new' used cars for both my boys - my older son's car was whacked while it was parked at a friend's house (hit and run) and I think the insurance company will total it. What a pain in my patootie. And my younger son needs a car for work. I may end up on a no-buy for awhile (yeah, right
sneaky.gif
) - or at least, as April says, a 'low buy'.

On a good note, the tallboy dresser I bought is PERFECT in my new 'makeup' room!! I'm so excited to have more drawer space!!

Shypo, you should try the new shadow primer by NARS. It is the ONLY thing I have found that keeps cream shadows from creasing on me. I was really skeptical at first but after using it for a couple of weeks now I can say I am a believer.

Oh, I will have to try this! I have Platine, which is pure

- sooooo gorgeous!! I do not have Sillage, but will be checking that baby out! I love those kinds of colors in the crease (like MAC Haux)!!

And Rose Comete is one of my favorites! Did not think to put Galactic over it! Very cool combo!

I got a deluxe sample of this from Sephora and used it for the first time this morning - jury is still out for me as I had quite a bit of trouble getting Sand and Sun to show up well on me.....something about the primer's finish maybe....but it could also be my lids. All that being said, I do like the look I ended up with, though it took a bit of effort and multiple layers of shadow....I used Tissueweight on my browbone, Sand and Sun in the crease, Firecracker in the outer v, and Gazette Grey to darken the crease, but below the Sand and Sun. It took some work, but I was pleased with the outcome finally. Lined with UD 24/7 in Underground, which is one of my all-time favorites.

And April, I meant to say, nice haul! You and Elegant have me considering Dragon......ooo la la!!

I did find that the primer worked better for me with cream shadows but of course YMMV.

I have always been a red lip kind of gal. One of the advantages of being so darned pale is I can (usually) pull it off. This color is so classic Chanel. I've been walking around all day with nothing but Dragon RAL on and I have been getting so many compliments. I hope you give it a try.

I was looking at the shadow singles online today. Does anyone have Trace? How would you describe it? Online it looks very red based (which I love) but I know how unreliable online swatches are.

EDIT: I just noticed that this post moved me from Specktra cadette to Specktra senior.

Yes, I have Trace. I love it. It is a beautiful red based warm deep bronze with wonderful subtle shimmer.

Dragon is just the most delicious red - gorgeous! I must get Phoenix next.

Its the only time in my book that being called a 'senior' is good.

That is terrible about your son's car. My daughter in law had that happen a year ago & what a pain it is. I hope you find exactly the right cars.

The dresser sounds perfect for that extra storage we all need. I seriously need to do some makeup reorganizing soon.

I told the Chanel lady that I HAVE to have that new pink blush. She looked like

- what new blushes

My sister in law called me this morning to tell me about Philosophy's new purity cleansing cloths. She's a total QVC addict, and where I usually get my QVC info from...lol. Anyway, did any of you see them presented? She ordered 5 packs (yeah uhm, lol) and was raving about them. I used the regular purity for a while, but have since moved on as over time it seemed to not actually clean my pores that well. I may check these out if she sends me a few in the mail.

I am so excited for you and your new tallboy! I would really love to see pictures if you'd like to share sometime down the line.

Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!! I'm off to do more laundry...

Hmmmm....I may have to check those out - I use my Purity with my Clarisonic to get my skin clean - I don't know if I would go back to just cleanser alone. I love the Clarisonic! But I like the idea of wipes too - sometimes they're just more convenient!

Here are pics of my new room - I have an old piano stool that will serve as my 'bench', but I also saw a bench at Target (Tar-ghay) that matches my little desk.....I am so thrilled - I cannot wait to get everything organized!!

That is just so charming! I love the black.

I can't use Philosophy - it really broke my skin out the first time I used it a few years ago

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

Well, my make-up is officially in transit!!! We will be officially moved out two weeks from today, but DH was on me about getting things packed up, or risk having him do it. So I packed up all my make-up with the exception of my everyday foundation, 1 blush and my 15 pan palettes. I went through everything and have an insane amount of items I was able to part with, so hopefully I'll get a sales thread up soon. I put my everyday make-up (which basically filled an entire drawer in the vanity, ya, just the everyday stuff!!) in a rather large shoe box, and then all my Chanel stuff in another. The rest I fit into my Sephora train case. So all in all, not too bad me thinks. My Chanel collection didn't quite fill up a shoe box, so I've still got some work to do!!!

The lighter shades are luminous and pigmented too. I didn't buy any yet since they are perm, and they are pricey! The pigmentation is very good, so I will pick up at least one!

These duos sound amazing! Love the idea of having a cream/powder duo.

Elegant, loved that link. Rose Comete looks so pretty in that pic. It goes on so purple on me.

Ugh, I totally meant to call the Chanel counter this weekend to ask when the Fall collection comes out, and if I could reserve a couple of things...weekend got away from me.
thmbdn.gif

But, I did have a nice relaxing day at the lake this afternoon.
yes.gif
I plan on trekking over to that counter this week to do that.

Get Phoenix!

I wore Ming over Gardenia RC yesterday.

I like how the RALs are opaque enough to be worn by themselves or over lipsticks to intensify the colour.

You know, I had the same problem when I was using the line. I stopped using everything but the purity cleanser and the break outs sort of stopped...I'm not sure why I thought that was a good enough result at the time.
lol.gif

After remembering that whole experience, I don't think I'll be trying the wipes. I've been wanting to try MAC's for a while now so I'll give them a shot instead.

Speaking of the Clarisonic...I've had mine for about 6 months now and I haven't used it once.
shockt.gif
It was a gift, and one that I really wanted, but I'm so freaked out about it for some reason. I'm such a chicken!! I'll have to be brave and try it this week for sure.

I'm so random tonight, sorry!

For some reason Spektra isn't letting me multi-quote this morning, so.....

Hypathya, welcome back!! We've missed you!

stv578 - glad you're ready to move - I hope you'll show us pictures of your new house! How exciting for you!!

Miss QQ - I agree with you about the RALs versatility - I wish they had more colors!! I think........
sneaky.gif

Karin, sounds like a wonderful weekend for you, and now something to look forward to this week!!! Have fun!

Meg, I hear you on the Clarisonic - I was a little skeptical too, but I use the delicate skin brush, and just love it! It really is gentle but I find it to be very effective. I use treatment pads from Dr. Denese after I cleanse, and if I don't use the Clarisonic, there is usually makeup residue on the pads. When I use it, there isn't....that's sort of my 'test'. I love MACs wipes too in a pinch!

Thanks everyone for the comments on my room
winkiss.gif
- I just now have to find time to get everything organized and put away...
