I had that colour on one foot and Mistral on the other. My daughter really didn't like the blue and wanted me to stick with Mistral, but it wasn't going on as easily as it did on my tips, so i ended going with China Glaze's Strawberry Fields!!! (This has got to be one of the best pedi colours ever!).

I actually just got Strawberry Fields last month...loooooooove it!!! I've worn it twice as a pedi since owning it and I totally agree, it's great!

That's how I felt too! Honestly though, who am I kidding...that's how I almost always feel about make-up.

Sigh!

OK ladies - I tried the bronzer!
love.gif

I used the MAC 168 like ILoveMakeup84 recommended, and it is a good brush to use. IMO, fluffier is better to get a more desirable dispersion of color. It is a GREAT contour! It does not go on heavy, but you can definitely see the results, just like in the video. I used it under my cheekbones, under my chin, and around the perimeter of my face (I have a small nose so I don't do any contouring there). I'm very pleased with the results!

I used it over my usual moisturizing routine and after my Neutrogena Retinol tinted moisturizer (which has an SPF). I don't think I need to use any foundation at all today.

I can't get over how natural it looks - I usually run screaming into the night from bronzers because I feel like they make my face look dirty, but this does not give me that effect - it looks like my face is 'sculpted' that way!

Did I say
love.gif
?

Have a great day everyone!!

ok that sounds really good - as long as there is no orangey
nonono.gif
its gotta be good if you love it that much. It does get really great reviews. So I guess I'll get it.

I used the Argan oil just around the outer eye corner area before I went to bed & this morning the skin there was incredibly silky soft. My skin is loving it & I am relieved.

Your SA sounds like she was trained by the one I spoke to in Boston about the Hydramax+Active! Kept trying to tell me it was an Estee line
th_rolleye0014.gif

No orangey at all! I can't see it, but it's there - hard to explain - I like the fact that if I want to use something over it, I can, or just wear it over tinted moisturizer, which I will likely do most of the summer
yes.gif
.

I ordered the argan oil from Sephora yesterday, along with
blush-anim-cl.gif
a couple of her shadows, based on the recommendations on the site - a couple of colors that I will likely use more than most: a charcoal and the 'chianti' color, a reddish bronzey color, which always looks great with my hazel eyes. But that's ALL I'm getting from that line.....really..........yup.........

Hi doll!
Thanks for all your info! Yeah, that Chanel lady was wack
th_dunno.gif

I'm so excited (just got back) - I got the Soleil Tan Bronzer. I got to see it today & it is a beautiful natural color for sure. I also got Courtisane gloss!!! How on earth did I not buy it before. Thanks ladies
smiles.gif

YES on the reddish bronzey colors - I love love those for my hazel eyes too. I have the most fab red-bronze chubby eye pencil pencil from Sue Devitt called Tanzania - it makes the eye color pop.

I will have to know what you think of the shadows! I may get a couple too.

Hi!!! What a great haul! I'm so glad you picked these up! Courtisane is gorgeous!

I will let you know as soon as I get the JM shadows -

i may have to check out the Tanzania color -I have a couple of her chubby pencils but not that one....

I also tried Philosophy Inner Grace tonight, and got a sample - ohh, it smells SO good. I am so fussy about fragrance and this one actually didn't 'turn' on me....a nice new summer fresh smell!

I also discovered that my Nordstrom apparently does not carry the Hydramax+Active Nutritive version (that, or the guy trying to help me was clueless, always a possibility when they're not familiar with the line) so I'm having to order it online now that my sample is gone.

Oh, and I swatched the Black Star eye shadow - it is different than the glittery black in Smokey Eyes - it's bluer or something - definitely different. It's quite pretty so I'm considering that, but I'm not sure how much wear I'd get out of it - I do smoky eyes quite a bit, but this color is more 'dressy'....I dunno. I may cave. Want to see how I like the Josie Maran charcoal color first.....

Tell us how you like the bronzer!! I'm so tickled for you!!

Has anyone tried the liquid shadows? I was just reading that they're good by themselves or as a base. I'm wondering how shimmery they really are though.

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

^^ I have Source, Atoll and Cascade. Source is pink beige, Atoll is champagne and Cascade, my first purchase of the three, is silvery white. They are very shimmery. I have stopped using them completely, but I used to like using them as a base. They make e/s more shimmery and intensify the colour. On their own they crease on me, but give a brightening effect. They feel light on my lids and is cooling when you apply them.

I don't know how long I can use them before they turn bad though. They are liquid and doesn't seem to be able to last as long as powder.
th_dunno.gif

What I like about them is that they can be washed off completely just with water. So if I apply powder e/s on top of them, I can splash water on my eyes and all the e/s come off, but I still use a little eyes makeup remover to clean the area properly.

Glad you got the bronzer cream! I saw and tested it on my hand, but didn't buy it as I think I really need to blend a lot. The MA said that it is good for contouring, but I need to blend it well as I'm fair (NC20). She suggested I try the powder bronzer. As for the Sheer Illuminating Fluid, she said it is more to add a shimmery glow, and it is LE and sold out.
lol.gif

And I saw the e/s duos! The lighter shade is a cream, and the darker one is powder. The dark shades are very pigmented!
drools.gif
The lighter shades are luminous and pigmented too. I didn't buy any yet since they are perm, and they are pricey! The pigmentation is very good, so I will pick up at least one!

In the displayer are two repromoted quads, Vanity and Sparkling Satins. Both are gorgeous and I don't own them yet.
graucho.gif

I bought the eye lash curler, which the MA said is a one time release. They will test the market and if it does well, they will sell it permanently. They fit my eyes perfectly!
yes.gif

I think there is suppose to be a new mascara but I didn't see it. Saw the mascara primer and the MA said other than applying it before mascara, I can apply it before I sleep to give my lashes nutrients.
nope.gif
I think when I close my eyes they will be all over my lower lids since my lashes are downward pointing.

Also, my favourite cleanser, Mousse Confort is back with a new packaging!
th_DANCE.gif
And there is a new Eau Douceur cleansing water for face and eyes! Smells divine!

Have you seen the promo pic for the Sublime de Chanel waterproof mascara? I know that the eyes are supposed to be the star, but the lips look amazing! Anyone knows what is the model wearing on her lips, and also her cheeks?

Courtisane is absolutely beautiful & def. my kind of color. Now I want the Black Star. No one had it to swatch??? What is up with them not having testers?

I cannot believe they don't understand/have the new Nutritive cream - well yeah, I guess I do. *eyeroll* I came home & placed an order at Neimans for the Soleil Tan Bronzer & refills on my toner & face wash

Free ship until the 7th. No Tax for me.

The Saks lady told me that the Chanel artists were using them a lot just by themselves. But, I didn't even swatch them. I want the new stuff

I figured that when you couldn't find the mousse they were changing the packaging. Glad its back. I'm anxious to see what the bronzer actually looks like on me.

So exciting to hear about the duos!!! I was wondering - will Neimans or Nordies or Saks get like their own 'special color' just for them? Would Chanel do that?

It was so funny telling the Chanel ladies yesterday about all the new product. They had next to no clue
girlhaha.gif
So I told her about Specktra & how we see product, swatches & details about upcoming collections. They knew nothing except for a new quad

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

You ladies have been busy. I am off the boards for a couple of days and had several pages to catch up on.

I am glad to hear so many positive remarks about the bronzer. I don't generally use one as they tend to look either orange or muddy on me and I have learned to embrace my paleness. But sometimes I need a little warmth to my skin so I may try this in the future.

I did pick up a few new goodies this week. I got:

Dragon RAL (LOVE this!! My kind of color for sure)
Mirage glossimer (so lovely over NARS Funny Face l/s)
Gondola n/p

I am going to try and do a low buy until the fall collection comes out. We'll see how long that lasts. LOL
