OooOOOh, those sound awesome! My hubby does the same thing...gives me the ok to get something and then later on smiles at me and says I'm a bad girl. What's up with that? Maybe they just think it's "sexy", like we're rebels!

I went and got my Dior sunglasses today! I love them, they're a little more oversized in person and I couldn't be happier.

I am so impatient lately...is the fall collection for sale yet?!?

As mentioned, the pot for the bronzing base is pretty big, but it's not all that deep. I was kinda surprised at the price ($50), until I considered what they charge for a single l/s!!!

I also asked about the single e/s, but decided to hold off till next month!

Yay!!!! I can't wait to hear what you think of both products! Exquise has been tugging on me so much lately, I may have to pick that up when I get my fall collection goodies.

Where are you located?

Wow, that sounds like it would be really bad news for me. I'm sort of near Vancouver, Canada. Guess I'll have to wait to try out the Smashbox concealer!

Oooh, sounds nice. I just love my Chanel sunglasses to death - not sure I would want any other brand! I wear mostly contacts, but sometimes wear glasses. I have Prada frames that I actually really like, otherwise I would consider Chanel!

Chanel just makes everything seem more elegant - even cotton pads!! Haha!

I know - what is up with them. I think your point makes perfect sense... Lil sexy rebels - yeah, I like that title.

Thats awesome that you like the glasses. I love the oversized sunglasses.

I feel impatient too for the fall stuff.

Yes, QVC can be bad

I'm really glad they don't sell mac or chanel

Oh, what do your Chanel sunglasses look like!? Yes, I wear contacts. I think I will have reading lenses put in my glass frames for now - old lady eyes. I can have them changed to my prescription later if I want. I use readers more often than my glasses.

I agree on the cotton pads - I may get a set just to check them out.

What exactly are you supposed to do with the Chanel Le Coton pads? Why do we need them?

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

Blasphemy! I do my own pedicures and have been alternating between MAC Steamy and Rouge Noir. I prefer Rouge Noir but removing the polish can be too time consuming... so I bought Chanel Riviera thinking it was so close to Steamy but better because it was Chanel. Guess what. Steamy is better. It streaks less and is a more vivid colour (better for pedicures).

I can't tell you how many times I have swatched Exquise. I was deliberating between that and Waikiki aqualumiere, which is also very pretty. Ultimately though, I chose Exquise because it is more pigmented and a nice golden pink. Waikiki is a bit more blue based and really sheer. I'm really happy with the two aqualumieres that I have, but they're definitely two of the more pigmented.

Riviera applied so nicely on me.

No streaks, full coverage in two coats and it was thick enough that it filled in the ridge that I have on my big toes!

How does Nouvelle Vague and Oasis compare to each other? Which one do you prefer? Are they like what they look like in this blog? It looks more streaky than NV here.

I haven't seen any pics on the eye & face colours. Sorry for going out of topic, do the hinge of the face colour compact break? I hope they are not brittle. Maybe we need a P&J forum.

Do you have any pics of it? It sounds so elegant. I want a Chanel eyeglass frame! I wear glasses all the time, for short-sightedness. This is good reason for me to wear some Chanel.

Not sure, yet. My order just shipped, and I'll be sure to post comparison swatches.

Sabrina's swatches are totally what got me to order Oasis, though.

We may very well need a P&J forum, especially if they keep putting out awesome collections.

Ahh, my eyeglasses are also Chanel (on sale for an awesome price last year)! Mine don't have the cute interlocking C logo though.

They're a deep raspberry pink with angular frames and say CHANEL in small font along the sides.

Ahhhhhhh! I'm a complete Chanel newbie, have never owned anything Chanel. I saw the Chanel Venus glossimer on temptalia and fell in love, but it is sold out everywhere I called in central Orlando!!! Please Chanel gurus tell me if there is a dupe! Please!!!!

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

I tried the bronzing base this morning. Here are my thoughts...

This is basically a cream bronzer, and a good one. The product itself is not a soft cream, so imo requires a fairly firm brush to pick up the product. I used the 130, which worked well. It is quite subtle on my complexion (nc25 atm), giving it a really natural sunkissed appearance. It did take a little longer to apply than MAC's new cream bronzer, which has a softer consistency, but I'm hoping that Chanel's has better staying power. I made the mistake of applying Rose Bronze JC over it, because that blush is already kinda bronzey in appearance! I'll stick to using a light bright pink with this bronzer. All in all, I like this product, better than MAC's because there isn't really any shimmer in it and I think the colour of Chanel's will work better for lighter skintones. MAC had two shades, the lighter (Beach Bronze) was useless on me and Weekend, while nice, has a very rosy undertone and I needed to be careful to not over do it. Chanel's is a really natural looking colour imo. Not sure how well this would work on darker skintones though.

Oh, and I really like Exquise! So glad I chose this. Looks better on than swatched, and I used Seashell glossimer over, which lightened it up a bit with a gorgeous sheen. (Love Seashell).

There isn't info on what eye shadow quad and aqualumiere lipstick. The quad looks like Spices, doesn't it?

Hmmm...sort of, but in Spices the lightest shade is the upper left one and in this picture it looks like the shade on the upper right is lighter than that one. Not sure. Maybe it could be Spices, but maybe Demure?

CHANEL fashion accessories ? All accessories and the 2010 CHANEL collection

These are my sunglasses, or at least very similar. When I bought them I was told that they are a classic style and so that's probably why it's easy to find them on Chanel's website. I love the white contrast with the black. Black and white is so very Chanel. And the white double Cs are really noticeable against the black!

Now if only I could afford a Chanel bag!!!

Thanks for the review of the bronzer. It definitely sounds like a winner. I just love summer beauty products like bronzer! I think I may try the Too Faced one that I mentioned earlier since it is cheaper, but if not then I might just get the Chanel one.

mikri75, I don't know of any dupes for Venus, but you can probably find one on eBay. Not all the prices are terrible.
