Guerlain discussion

I'm glad this is likely to be a skip for me - such a letdown from the original Blush G -

And I have more Guerlain bronzers than I'll ever use up, so the new ones are a skip for me too.

Kate, you have me giving Attrape Coeur a second look.....

Thanks very much ladies! I should add that this look lasted fantastically well throughout the day and into the night. I feel like the other quad is getting more attention, because it's got more intense shades and is possibly a little more universal, but ignore Attrape-Coeur at your peril.

In answer to your question, patentg33k, it could absolutely work as an office look. Other than the dark purple, which can be used as a liner, the shades are quite soft and are quite perfect Spring pastels. Because they're in the same family, they blend into each other quite well. On the look above, I actually applied the dark purple to in the crease with a pencil brush and blended it just a little to give myself a more pronounced effect. There are absolutely more delicate options!
Thanks Katred! I did pick it up yesterday. I was looking at the MAC Archie collection which also has a vibrant purple palette ($44) and went for Attrape Coeur instead as a more appropriate choice for my taste. I had a makeover--It is a bit vibrant on me (I'm warm), but very fun I think. I can always tone it down with a brown shade in the crease too I think.

She used the purple mascara over the black I was already wearing (slightly removed because of a remover she used on my eye area). The mascara wasn't a super vibrant purple perhaps because I was already wearing the black. The mascara did seem to work well, especially as a self-curling formula. It wasn't a really fair test, because we used a spoolie and not the "real" brush. It seems nice, but I still prefer the Le 2 between them. Note that the black version has a gorgeous scent, but if anyone is sensitive to scents you might want to know.

The store (Bloomingdales) was starting to get the summer bronzers in. I saw the Summer Blondes color that is on The Best Things in Beauty. It's a very large compact (much larger than the standard bronzers ($75). It looked very luxurious (no tester yet tho!). I wanted to be able to see all of the new shades before committing so I didn't pick it up.

In other news, I decided Flirt lipstick is a bit too vibrant to wear with Attrape Couer at least for me. It's a beautiful deep purple pink, incredible formula, stains down well. It would probably work well with a neutral eye.

Details of the summer collection: http://www.chicprofile.com/2013/02/guerlain-summer-2013-terra-ora-collection-info-photos.html

I want so much, the powder, the primer, the BB cream, the foundation if not too pricey, the glosses sound gorgeous too.

I'm dying to see the glosses- the names are adorable! The powder looks like a new version of my beloved Terra Inca, but more warm gold, less rose gold. I think my chief interest will be the gloss, since warm summery shades don't tend to look as good on me, but for those who do, these look like beautiful options.

Thank you for sharing, Anitacska!

I think that I will only get the Terra Ora powder. These wooden boxes are to die for

Nothing else appeal to me.

Too bad that this collection does not include ballz this year.

I missed Terra Inca, but this one looks even more gorgeous!

They will release a LOT of glosses with this collection, won't they?

Yeah, they don't usually have them with every collection, I'd say twice a year at most. I'm sure there'll be some in the holiday collection again.

Yes, I too think that every holiday collection does include ballz.

Wasn' t sure about the summer collections, though.Last year we were lucky and had the Azur ballz.

Me too, I really like the look of this one, although I think I liked TI better. Surprisingly. there are a lot of things from Guerlain this summer that are appealing to me, I'm interested in the glosses, I want a beige/pink one. The light gold lipstick looks nice too.
I said I was gonna treat myself to a high end bronzer this year, not sure which one it's gonna be. The Guerlain one with the light pink in it (I guess those will be perm?), the Terra Ora or one from Givenchy, since they're bringing back the Healthy Glow powder from last year. I already wanted one then. So it's between those three.

Thank you for the links. :) The glosses on the first link look great! I can't wait to see the rest of them. The lipsticks look really nice too.

Yes, that is the primer, not the balls. The balls are suspended in a liquid foundation primer. It's just like the Météorites primer from the permanent range. You can see the new one in the second-to-last photo in the Chicprofile link.
