Thanks very much ladies! I should add that this look lasted fantastically well throughout the day and into the night. I feel like the other quad is getting more attention, because it's got more intense shades and is possibly a little more universal, but ignore Attrape-Coeur at your peril.
In answer to your question, patentg33k, it could absolutely work as an office look. Other than the dark purple, which can be used as a liner, the shades are quite soft and are quite perfect Spring pastels. Because they're in the same family, they blend into each other quite well. On the look above, I actually applied the dark purple to in the crease with a pencil brush and blended it just a little to give myself a more pronounced effect. There are absolutely more delicate options!
Thanks Katred! I did pick it up yesterday. I was looking at the MAC Archie collection which also has a vibrant purple palette ($44) and went for Attrape Coeur instead as a more appropriate choice for my taste. I had a makeover--It is a bit vibrant on me (I'm warm), but very fun I think. I can always tone it down with a brown shade in the crease too I think.
She used the purple mascara over the black I was already wearing (slightly removed because of a remover she used on my eye area). The mascara wasn't a super vibrant purple perhaps because I was already wearing the black. The mascara did seem to work well, especially as a self-curling formula. It wasn't a really fair test, because we used a spoolie and not the "real" brush. It seems nice, but I still prefer the Le 2 between them. Note that the black version has a gorgeous scent, but if anyone is sensitive to scents you might want to know.
The store (Bloomingdales) was starting to get the summer bronzers in. I saw the
Summer Blondes color that is on The Best Things in Beauty. It's a very large compact (much larger than the standard bronzers ($75). It looked very luxurious (no tester yet tho!). I wanted to be able to see
all of the new shades before committing so I didn't pick it up.
In other news, I decided Flirt lipstick is a bit too vibrant to wear with Attrape Couer at least for me. It's a beautiful deep purple pink, incredible formula, stains down well. It would probably work well with a neutral eye.
