I tried it yesterday for the first time and I'm so glad I have 1/2 jar coming in a swap!! I guess the texture *is* a little weird, but it's similar to Lily White, which is my favorite.
I really didnt like helium, it reminded me of kitschmas, which spills over the eye and looks to chunky when done. I wish MAC would come up with different colors instead of reformulating their old pigments. Wouldnd you agree that this is a duller kitschmas? I wont waste my money on it... :/
I've found it works well if you use one of those crappy little sponge applicator things we all hate. I had one kicking around, so I gave it a try and it worked pretty good. I find that the chunkier pigments don't stick to my brushes or my eye lids and just fall off onto my cheeks
On me it looks totally different than Kitchmas. Kitchmas is just like a light shiny pink on me, this is more irridescent, it relects more color back, instead of just white shine, like Kitchmas does. Of course that's on me and I know colors come out different on different skintones.
Yeah, kitchmas has a more silver shine to it while Helium has a pink shine. I love helium! When I first tried Helium I didn't like it 'cause the texture seemed crappy but then I tried it wet and omg I LOVE this pigment. Its such a pretty sparkly pink color on me. More pinker and sparkly than pink opal and when used wet no fall-out goes on my face.
I have Helium, Viz-a-violet & the quad coming to me via mail soon..but I went to the counter today to b2m for full blown..and I finallly got to see balloonacy in person..I HAVE FALLEN FOR HELIUM.
Even though I already have a jar of it coming, I bought one while I was b2m'in.
IT'S SO GORGEOUS. OMIFUK...words can't even describe its gorgeousness. lol.
Helium is really chunky indeed, but it works great when you apply a neutral cream colour base before applying pigments, they stick very well with that and it lasts the whole day. As i never had a use for the cream colour base before !
It works great with it and the colour looks gorgeous !!!!
