How much is too much for Parrot!

MONEY IS MONEY TO ME AND I KNOW WHEN ENOUGH IS ENOUGH I SAVE SOME AND I KEEP SOME, I WORK HARD FOR MY MONEY AND I DESERVE EVERYTHING I OWN/BUY. IF SOMEONE DOSENT LIKE IT THAT IS THEIR OWN OPINION... IF THEY WANT TO SPEND 1000 ON A PURSE LET THEM. IF THEY WANT TO SPEND ATON OF MONEY FOR ONE EYESHADOW LET THEM. ITS THEIR MONEY.

wow ladies! we have some really passionate members! I'm so glad that everyone feels free enough to vocalize (or type) thier opinions. I totally agree that we all decide on when something is too much. I cannot tell you how many nasty comments were left about me regarding my Luella TLC's on eBay. Some were false and stating that I stole the pictures from Janice....uh no.. and others were just inflammatory that could not believe that I had such high bidders. I am rather proud of the fact that I was the very first one to post an auction for the Luella TLC's and if the bidders were willing to pay that then so be it. Again, I would like to reiterate that Parrot is a beautiful color and I too have been known to pay a bit more than I should for things that I really really want and cannot live without. Any verdit on whether or not Parrot was actually purchased?

Oooooh.. Im sorry chica. I did get it and I LOVE it..lol. I wore it today on the lid with Carbon on the outer. So, yes.. I did get it.. I do love it (it is way more pigmented and vibrant than the lookalike and I am pleased with my purchase.

Thanks to all my Specktra pals who help enable my wallet reducing addiction. Love you all for it. (((hugs)))

If you really like it and you see a Jewel palette for a half decent price, you should get that, because not only will you get a backup of Parrot, the other colors are awesome IMHO.

I would have spent a lot on parrot , but since you guys told us there might be a parrot replacement (blue absinthe) I'm going to try to wait a couple more months!

Ah yes, I've been in many a situation like this myself. When faced with a purchase that tugs on the wallet strings, I simply use the good ole "cost per wear" reasoning. When you figure how many times you'll wear that eyeshadow and how good you'll feel each time and divide that by the price... the cost is reduced to mere pennies!

3rd this. Heard it on MUA and there are pics up. Honestly I didn't like Parrot all that much .. I can't wear blues. With all the similar colors out there (Aegean for example) I don't think I'd have bought it for the high prices if it did look good on me. But then again .. I'm a total tightwad

If you want it that bad and will use it all the time, then I say you're far from a sucker.

Mind you, this is coming from a girl who paid $545US for a pair of boots lol.

I work for MAC...and I am obsessed with MAC but I would never really pay more than retail for any of our products...I guess cause I realize there will always be something new in a few months that I MUST HAVE!!! LOL. $60...shit! I would have just given you my parrot. That's robbery...but people do collect weirder stuff and at least parrot is a gorgeous color!

Have you noticed the copycats coming out? I just saw today an Origins shade that is along that shade, and there is a Clinique quad that has some blue/teals in it that has a similar shade. Hopefully for all the Parrot fans MAC will recognize the demand & make it permanent. It's always good for business to tease people first, then it ensures big sales later when the supply finally appears!

I still have the little palette with Parrot in it and I actually hadn't worn it, but I'm darn sure going to try it now after seeing all the love! I always tell people you can't just look at a MAC shadow in the pan & know what it looks like...you have to try them on. The mattes don't really change, but the others are just amazing that way. At least from what I've noticed.

I Can Think Ur Totally Insane Except That I Saw A Half Used Parrot Sell On Ebay For Like 95 Bucks... So 60 Is Actually Not A Horrible Buy!!! Lol

Ya know what's really funny? There were a few people on here who have Parrot but never wear it...and I bet they'd sell it for $60...but then turn around and give you grief about paying that much!!!
Hahahahahaa!

Ah, everything's a catch-22!

It's your life, do what you want. I almost paid that much for Ingenue Blue ($45) but then, a friend decided she didn't want it b/c she never wore it and gave it to me for free!! But, I so would've paid a pretty penny for it!!!

Congrats on getting what you wanted!!

Opinions are opinions, that's all.
